 |  Pavlina Personal Firewall 2011
Hi there. I had an idea today. Lately I've become aware that I have far too much information coming in for me to process. Don't ask me how it got to me – perhaps it was one of Steve's tweets – but I've just thought "Pavlina Personal Firewall 2011". What if I were to create a firewall/spam blocker for my mind? What do I let through? What do I block/ignore? I just wanted to share this while it was fresh. I've had ideas before that I've waited to act on but fizzled out before I did anything and I don't want to let this one get away.  |

Actively managing your attention is extremely important. For me I tend to think of it as a currency: in addition to time and money, I have a finite amount of thought to spend on things that I enjoy or improve my life. Is this the most valuable thing I could be thinking about? If not, drop it! |
