Yeah, this one was much better. Interestingly, while I was reading the article I imediately though of something that I could do, that would benefit both me and you at the same time, in a way that is very win-win, and that I'd totally be inspired to do. I'll put together my idea and mail it out to ya. |

This is a great post. I was curious to see what options you would think of in terms of employees. I thought you might try something like partnerships as financial incentive versus a straight salary. I will say, many times reading your posts of late, I have thought "Steve, you need an assistant!" |

Contrary to others, I liked the previous version better. The unconventional approach was quite refreshing. I have already decided not to go for a job so a regular employment is not something I find very interesting. I guess what I was looking for was a short period of being immersed in a growth environment. Hence my interest in the first proposal. It did make me think as to why I am so eager to accept it and if my situation right now is so bad. Some good introspection resulted from it. I do not seem to have other ideas at the moment but if I think of something, I will surely put it up. Meanwhile, I go back to 'deep practice' of writing at least 100 words every day. |

It can be done passively, where you just let people post some options, and actively, where the minion makes a post asking for help along with a bulleted list of desired factors. Might expedite the process of choosing an excellent venue instead of starting from scratch each time.

I like how both posts contrast against each other. The 2nd post is squeaky clean, and almost dare-I-say, saintly. Quote:

I'm sure the real Steve lies somewhere in between those two extremes, but it's cool to see these two sides so close together. Last edited by strawzombie; 04-11-2011 at 06:21 PM.

I'd love to offer something, although I'm not sure what it would be. I'll be a Master NLP Practitioner in December so I might keep an eye out to see if that fits in the equation somewhere. I also really enjoy audio work as of late and I know I'd enjoy video. Either way, I enjoy reading these business-type posts. I find them quite inspirational. |

It's becoming almost predictable how the LoA works in situations like this. I knew that in the short term, before I could hire too many people, I'd need to boost my cashflow first. Originally I was looking to a new product release of my own to accomplish that. The product is coming along beautifully, but it's turned into a bigger product than I had originally envisioned. While I'm very excited about it, it's also frustrating. I've been feeling torn between scaling down the product so I could get it released faster (which doesn't intuitively feel right) vs. taking the time to do it right and having to wait longer for that extra revenue stream to come online and help me hire more people. Then I thought -- you know, if I could just find a solid JV deal or two, that would do it. But really good JV deals don't come along that often, and if I have to spend time searching for one, then that slows down hiring people, and it also delays my own product development. So I decided to just let go and trust that it would work out. I know this is a good Oneness-aligned thing I'm doing here, so I expect that the universe is going to back me up as needed. As soon as I posted the hiring announcement, I had two new JV deal offers, both from people I know and trust and whose work I've recommended before. I have to review their offerings thoroughly of course, but they're looking very promising. Then today I stumbled upon an affiliate program for a simple productivity tool I recently began using and was planning to recommend anyway, and this month they're offering double commissions. The LoA really does wait in the wings, patiently sipping lattes, till you fully commit and start moving forward. Then it finally springs into action, and you wonder why the heck it waited so long. I just love how it waited for me to write this blog post first. Then it says, "By the way, you'll be needing some extra cashflow, so here you go. Keep up the good work!" A few days ago I was feeling a little concerned over how much I was work overtime to get this all to come together as fast as I want it to. Now I'm laughing at how easy it's probably going to be. |

Ranking well on a single keyword won't do anything for my traffic unless it's something truly monstrous like "sex". I can't believe Steve Irwin is still ahead of me for "Steve" though, although I did move up after the last Google dance.

Other times, your super ego wants something, but your conscious mind and subconscious don't. You think you 'need' something. Had to learn how to shut that down too, and do nothing instead, even through my head saying, "no, you really really NEED this!" Shut the hell up, you simpleton. All in all, it's so much better to be doing things whole-heartedly that it's ten times better to wait for that state and do absolutely nothing until you're ready, than to half-ass while you aren't.

Steve, Is there a deadline for the application, or are you looking to find some help throughout the process to alleviate some of your workload for the products (and building a personal development culture with your growing team)? Clarifying that may also help. My 2 cents anyway. Btw, your April Fool's article and Get A Job articles are awesome, and still resonates with me personally despite some ironic turns. Stanley |

I prefer this version but the April 1st version really opened my eyes to what was outside my comfort zone. Too many to mention but a great exercise to ask myself why? It would be an amazing opportunity to work with you virtually in some capacity. I won't be in Vegas until September but once exact dates are set (I'm organizing a trip to Vegas for a group of people) I'll let you know and hopefully you'll be in town and we can meet. Wishing you an early fantastic birthday and hope you have an amazing year. Lynn |

Steve I am becoming increasingly peeved by your usage of the word "yummy". What in the world does this mean I am resisting?

| Is Rachelle a vegan also? Because from one small personal experience several years ago I can confirm... non-meat eaters... taste better.... if you know what I mean. (I think that would explain Steve's obsession with the word yummy, everybody. You won't understand until you get it on with a vegetarian |

It's true that vegans taste & smell noticeably better (sweeter). So the word yummy is quite literal.
