If you're functioning from a subjective reality viewpoint, then your reality is your creation. Assuming so, aren't you helping others and the world by helping and loving yourself? I was reading about the therapist who healed a ward of criminally insane patients without ever seeing them, but just by looking at their charts and looking within himself to see how he created the illness and healing himself. And by healing himself... the person's illness was also healed. I'm wondering how this ties into polarization. By the way, here is a link to the article about the therapist: Beyond Marketing by Dr. Joe Vitale: The World's Most Unusual Therapist Thank you for any insight. I appreciate it. |

Now THAT is an amazing story... The scientist in me always start questioning this kind of thing, but I am currently conquering my over-critical beliefs through a trail in the subjective reality belief system. I think your question will be answered if you listen to the podcast about "The True Nature of Reality". When you improve yourself, your reality (relationships, other people) improves, and when you work on your reality, you improve. Makes perfect sense. How it relates to polarization I am still trying to figure out. I posted about it yesterday. My problem is with understanding what happens to 'Me', the subjective universe, if you polarize to the dark and your avatar dies. I know intuitively that that if I raise my consciousness to the level of unconditional (self) love, the question will no longer matter because the existence of an after life is not relevant to your actions if you love yourself. And if you get to Joy... Well, then all there left is NOW, so who gives a f** about the afterlife anyway... Last edited by Kingston; 04-14-2007 at 05:54 PM. Reason: spelling |

Word. I really like that podcast... but I still don't see how it would relate to polarization. If the world out there is merely my reality and a reflection of my inner world -- I don't see why improving myself TO improve my world would be rooted in fear-polarization. |

In SR, there is no difference between yourself and the world. What matters is what kind of energy you apply to improving/healing yourself/the world. Do you conquer your fears or transcend them? Do you practice self-forgiveness, or self-respect? You can feel love for yourself. You can respect others. Helping yourself or helping the world are shallow content words, words have no energy, but those words *usually* point towards love or fear energies. In SR they become meaningless, so try seeing the polarities another way. I think it's informative to look at how the two polarities treat fear and suffering within yourself, one person. You can feel love and compassion for yourself, and for the parts of yourself that are hurting, and you can see beauty in yourself. Or you can feel self-importance and think self-respectfully. Try immersing yourself in one polarity, then the other - by acting in the ways of that polarity, thinking like it, or just shifting your emotions and your sense of everything. Notice various details about it. Those energies will still be with you in SR. What happens to SR if you polarize dark and your avatar dies - well, dark-pol is not about the avatar, and SR exactly means that consciousness is not contained within the avatar - it is the container. If your avatar dies, consciousness will still be there. |
