Hey everybody, I just read the news about Steve completely dropping his copyrights on all of his materials except for the book. This is HUGE news and a gigantic opportunity especially for all of us members of Steve's community! I myself have no particular ideas yet as to what I could get excited about doing with the materials. BUT I definitely know that I'd like to coordinate people and projects and keep track of what's happening in this regard in our community. So if there is a need for that -- and I think there is or at least will be once most people have read and understood what Steve's move means -- we can do the following: If you would like to set up a project and are looking for more people, if you want to team up with others, if you would just like to brainstorm ideas or so, then put your information down below, with this suggested format: Quote:
Your Name -- real name or nick name or w/e, make it a Facebook link if you can Roles -- which roles could you fulfill on a team? Don't include stuff here you wouldn't really enjoy doing. Project Ideas -- completely optional, though even if you don't feel like sharing your specific ideas it still might be helpful to others if you give at least a hint at what you're thinking, e.g. "translation Russian". Putting everything in a "quote" tag might make it a bit easier to track stuff, that's why that's there. Already existing projects If you already know well what project you would like to run, use the following format: Quote:
As "Status" use something that describes what stage your project is in currently (some examples would be: Brainstorming, Team Setup, Started). Questions and feedback appreciated! Now let's get ready to rumble and help the human consciousness evolve! Last edited by colonel; 12-16-2010 at 06:20 AM.

I am afraid that a few volunteers (including me) will not be enough to translate this huge volume of articles in any realistic timeframe, so i am thinking about hiring professional translators. As far as the financial side of this goes, i do not really seek to make a lot of money from this project as an investor. I would like to make just enough money to cover the cost of webhosting, paid translators, etc. The rest (assuming we make any money at all I am posting this here in order to find co-investors, or any other people who are willing to participate in this project.

I'm not expecting many people from this board to jump on this project, but I can recruit some fellow people from Belgium and Holland. Update: stevepavlina.be is mine! Last edited by Dukie; 12-16-2010 at 09:55 AM.

My project ideas so far "Steve Pavlina Brainwashing" - I have Social Oomph Upgrade...which means...on twitter I can set unlimited batches of tweets that automatically post and rotate around forever without me having to do anything. They say for a person to change, that person needs repetition of new thoughts and ideas to their brain. So if I have 500-1000 tweets or more in the batch, it would be like "brainwashing" inspiration and improvement into your life quite rapidly etc. Undecided so far on - should i make a twitter account exclusively all about general insightful steve pavlina snippets? Should I make a twitter feed exclusively about steve pavlina snippets focused on making money?? Or should I just add insightful steve pavlina snippets to the twitter feeds I already have? Such as "end lack" a new twitter feed I started about yes, "advice & knowledge on ending lack" and this would be a combination of steve pavlina snippets as well as other helpful quotes or insightful snippets I come up with? Or I could do ALL of the above? Last edited by roxyruby; 12-17-2010 at 12:07 AM. |

Yes SocialOomph, I love it!!! Yer, I'm a bit of a Twitter Freak =) I know twitter is not as popular like facebook and not everyone uses it, also cause it's something fairly new, but i find it to be extremely helpful for the particular niches I am interested in. I have probably created over 10 twitter feeds now i get ideas and start twitter feeds not all of them work out... most of the time i think it's cause of not being totally happy with the name of the twitter feed then having to start a whole new one to make a new name!!! i got lots of followers fast by going to twitter feeds similar to what my content it about and adding [i mean following] all their followers. Otherwise, just post tweets that are amazing and wonderful for your particular niche and people Retweet your tweets and then it spreads like that i think! my most successful so far is Social Anxiety Help (NoSocialAnxiety) on Twitter with about 11,500 followers Last edited by roxyruby; 12-17-2010 at 03:09 PM. |
