Arrow Subjective Reality and Death

So as I understand in the subjective reality belief system my true self is universal consciousness. Like a person in a dream. The person lying on the bed asleep is consciousness and the dream aviator is me right now. So when the dream aviator dies the person asleep on the bed still stays alive just like when I die consciousness keeps on living. What I was wondering is how this is related to different belief systems in after death like reincarnation, heaven and hell. That is, what happens to the I that is my personality state of mind, and level of consciousness, after death. Also, if I spend my entire life working hard to improve myself and raise my consciousness as high as I can what happens to all that after I die? I hope you understand what I am asking because it was hard to put into words.

peacefulmind,
You are a multi-dimensional being. "You" exist in zillions of planes of existence. The more familiar ones being physicality, the emotions, and the mind.

When you die, you remove your volition from the physical body. Everything else stays intact. So you still have your personality and all the other mind stuffs you had while living a physical life, because those are part of the mental body or mental dimension of self.

Now, if you're not familiar moving in other planes of consciousness, you will probably go unconscious after leaving your body because you'll have no clue what's going on. That's why we have spirit guides, to go fetch us when we're confused.

Cool

Wow. I just finished a post at my website that talks a bit about this kind of stuff.

We cannot really know anything about what happens at the point of death. How will we know when we are dead? We can be told by others (in fact, that is all we know), but what meaning does that have for us? The only way to "know" death, is to die. (I put know in quotes because we cannot really know it. Knowing implies knowledge, and death is completely beyond thought.)

And I have been reading here about "Levels of Consciousness." Does that mean different states? Like if someone is full of hate, that is lower, if someone is full of love, that is higher. Is that correct? Those are simply varying contents of the same consciousness. I question whether there are any levels of consciousness at all.

Unless you are talking about varying states of mind? Sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't really do a search of the forums before posting. But, there is nothing in me that implies there are different levels. All of those things are a part of consciousness. Maybe it is just a problem with the language? Different levels would seem to imply that there are different types of consciousness. A lower level, and a higher level. But there is really no difference, as it is all a part of the same consciousness.

Kind of like changing the curtains in an outhouse. The view might have improved, but something still stinks.

Here is the link to the post I referenced earlier. THE LINK

Thanks for reading.
