Steve What do you think about in the sidebar of your website, there being a little box of never-ending rotating short messages, the messages being made up of insightful/helpful snippits gathered from across all of your content, or your twitter posts? The message could change every 20 seconds or so and never end! The messages could be one or two sentences each - sort of Twitter sized. This would be good for people who have been lazy and have not had the motivation to actually click on and scroll through your old articles again (even though they know there is helpful advice contained in all those old posts). This is different to the idea of twitter because you don't have to scroll down and helpful messages are being continually refreshed and renewed right in front of you in a never ending way. Since it would be in the sidebar the 24-hour messages could be seen and have their effect from every page of your website including the home page. I am willing to do all the work of gathering & programming in the short messages or anyone can do it but I am excited thinking about something like this! People could come to your website - even just the home page - and receive an instant boost and maybe just what they need in just a few minutes A 30-day trial could be done of this idea? this is a great idea. it would be better if it wasn't limited to Steve's site, but rather have it on the computer itself, so that whatever we do whether browsing this forum or writing, we have constant stream of good thoughts.

I thought about it some more and I think it's a cool idea but I'm not sure how it would work. It sounds like a mountain of work for the owner (going through articles and picking out pieces). What I would find pretty cool is if snippets were to show up, stick around for a minute or two and then move onto another one. Include a link to the article in the snippets. That's how things catch your eye, you see a little bit and you get curious for more. Again though, the amount of work would be staggering and probably not worthwhile. | ||
