Default Never Get a Job!

I just read SPs article on why you should never get a job.
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...ver-get-a-job/

A really interesting read. A lot of it mentions how people are socially conditioned to believe that getting a job (time for money style) is the natural thing to do. I agree that they are.

What I have trouble understanding is how exactly he makes $40,000 from writing articles. I read them for free. Where does that money come from?

How would I make/obtain some kind of system where I was passively making money because of me providing value?

I do also think the typical 9 to 5 work can be great, more because of the social aspect. I think going out and talking and meeting strangers is great (and something I need to do because of what I want to be, myself) but its not always that easy.

Anyway, thoughts/ideas/comments appreciated. Thanks

I believe a substantial amount of Steve's (or any successful blogger) income is derived from advertising like Adsense and affiliations.

For example, look down the left side of this page, and notice "Ads by Google." Every time someone clicks one of those ads, Steve gets a portion of whatever that advertiser has bid for the ad placement.

Steve provides value, so people flock here. Advertisers want to be wherever people flock, and they'll pay for it.
