Phenomenal post Steve. Don't you dare reveal your new transition until you are totally ready and past the point of no return (I know you will anyway, but just making sure). Don't give the doubters and whiners a chance to pre-emptively doubt and whine. Make 'em do it after the fact! Daniel _____________________________ Visit me at Casual Kitchen! Cook More. Think More. Steve, I am completely convinced that reality is objective, but nevertheless, I find your subjective reality experience interesting. Like you, I find it interesting to view reality through different lenses. Though unlike you, I do not believe the world is a dream. However, I think that it is an interesting thought experiment to view it as such. I like the perspective of viewing your life as a story. I have been holding the intention of finding cures to my addiction to 'spectacles,' and the story perspective helps me with this. By looking at my life as an evolving story I put greater value on things such as writing and working towards my goals--things that add long term value to my life and create an interesting story. Additionally, as you wrote, seeing your character grow over time is extremely rewarding. Can't wait to hear what is in store for you next! |

I also like the analogy of a life story. When I think about my life purpose, I find it much easier to tune into my purpose if I think of it this way. It gives meaning to my past, present and future.

I do like this sudden emphasis on drama. I got obsessed with narrative structure after I went through my subjective meltdown five years ago and for several months or so started seeing everything in terms of narrative bias. Now I'm taking improv classes and working with story structures and characters and such directly! It's really really interesting, I highly recommend it.

My guess for Steve's 2011: He goes minimalist, sells everything off, and becomes location independent. He'll travel the world and help out as much as he can, in his own way, for the next couple of years. Whatever his plans are, it'll certainly be an intriguing read. |

This post blew my socks off. How we live and create the story of our lives as we journey through this universe resonated so strongly with me. It connects together everything I've experienced recently in regards to the universe and ties it all up with what I already knew. Thanks so very much for this post Steve. |

I think going into politics is a very logical thing he could do now. What is his audience now? A few million people all over the world. If he goes into politics and say, runs for president, he would be directly affecting the lives of many millions of Americans, and because of the (still) powerful position of the US in the world, indirectly the lives of billions of people. Leading US politics is a very effective way to have a big impact at the largest scale and transform the face of the Earth. I know he is interested in matters such as American public debt, Monsanto, etc. He's a leader and has courage. He enjoys leadership and public speaking. Has a past in improv and stand up comedy. He is a member of the Transformational Leadership Council (or similar name). Broadcasting his message by writing books, giving workshops etc. does not really work for him (anymore) so it needs to be something different. He already has a large following (his blog readers). His purpose is to inspire people to live consciously and to grow. Etc. Lots of little facts that tell me politics would be a very logical choice. Another way to expand his contribution would be to influence people who already are very powerful. I don't quite know how. Coaching does not seem to really float his boat. I don't know enough about the hidden mechanics of power to know how he could gain influence there without being into politics. I don't see him in finances. He could go and travel, but you don't need subjective reality to gain access to this kind of dreams. It's far from being big enough. Plus, my guess is that it will be something different from personal development. Just my random guess. Would be logical.

That's why my favorite movie is American History X, and I avoid TV like the plague and don't watch movies very often. You keep using the word "kick-ass"... did you just see that movie? Last edited by Cochonette; 09-12-2010 at 12:20 AM. |

"I don’t expect that people will dislike the idea — quite the contrary. They’re more likely to find it too ambitious." I'm finding it hard to come up with anything I would find too ambitious for Steve at the moment. Honestly I think he seems unstoppable right now. What could he possibly be up to that I would think would be too ambitious... As for writing a kick ass story, I wonder what dream characters he will team up with? A story without supporting characters is hardly a story at all. What would Frodo be without Sam? He'd be dead! Yeah but you know what I mean. Oh, and I'll write the soundtrack. No movie has ever been truly great without a fantastic soundtrack! |

Maybe he'll start a non-profit? Open a school? I'm dying to know! But for now I'll just have to focus on writing my own story.

For some reason I believed this would be the last CGW when I signed up for it earlier. I am eager to learn what path Steve choses and am confident that he will remain true to himself. Let the future unfold! |

I find guessing fun, even if we are probably wrong! Quote:

I don't imagine him sitting hidden behind the scenes in some obscure power groups. He is here to inspire and lead by example. He must do something public. Create a non-profit lightworker organization? PD clubs all over the world? More PD public speaking? Dunno, all this just feels too small to me. But maybe I am totally wrong and the change is not about quantity of people he reaches, but about quality, and he will expand his contribution by doing something completely different in a very specific field? Or maybe he made this announcement and has no clue what he will do, and is waiting for us to come up with ideas.

A politician probably would work. From his Twitter/FB messages, it seems like he has been stating a lot of things about the government, eg, money that the government was borrowing and something else I could not remember. Also, it might be that he is becoming more of a businessman and becoming the CEO of a company. I have no idea what it would be, but I have a feeling that being uniquely him would mean starting up a business in something. Hehe, maybe a bank? XD |
