Steve, I am very happy for you and I encourage you to continue standing your ground on not giving anything away. It will be better for you, the project and the recipients of the results if it is allowed to ripen on the vine before picking. And yeah, I know you don't really need my encouragement, because you truly commit to things you decide to do. I just wanted you to know. |

Windows - Objective. Works, but is rather limited and sometimes broken. Macintosh - Subjective. Works, and is flashy and not as broken, still limited. GNU/Linux - Yeah, just do whatever the hell you want, be careful of breaking things. ...anyway...good luck with porting stuff. Or... get into engineering and modify the hardware directly. It's all hardware. ...or all software, what have you. | |

So even if you're not interested could you please try it for me? At worst, nothing happens. At best, you learn a bit more about the subjective reality you are exploring. I know you're a busy guy, but all I'm asking for is 2 minutes of your time. I would really appreciate it. Here's the method pasted for your convenience: Quote:

Reading this has lit a bit of a fire in my heart. Steve talked so much about stories that I wonder if this doesn't have something to do with the story of the world itself. Essentially, changing the narrative of our communal story. Not sure how one would go about doing it, but I think it would be an amazing challenge.

Got it. You are going to become an mental power entrepreneur. You will harness large amounts of human brain power to affect desired physical change on this plane. Kind of like a guy that starts a solar power business out in the desert by installing a crapload of solar panels. It will take lots of time and effort to coalesce this power base. Right? Just nod. |

Nice post Are you gonna start making movies like me ? All i know is that my kick ass story will not be about changing profession. that's for sure. I love the career choice I have made for myself to be an artist - filmmaker and photographer I feel it's never ending, something I can never get bored of. And i'm pretty sure I will never make a career change. It's wide enough subject. For instance right now my work goes into galleries and museums. But who knows maybe one day I'll make a Hollywood blockbuster ( although the desire to do that still hasn't grown in me) I can do this anywhere in the world and on any subject that's on my mind. Potentially I can make millions from this proffesion too if I want, as many others have... Although it wasn't really a choice. I've always needed to create visually. making movies is simply less messy then painting, that's why I do that. I love it that my proffesion is like a never ending hole which I can keep digging at and keep discovering amazing treasures |

Steves' new mystery is a mystery even to him. He knows "where he is." What he doesn't know (I do) is where he is going. It is taking an ever increasing amount of his energy keeping his dream state charactor going. He will become more and more impatient with that effort, and "humanity" in general. Steve has gone through the beginning of the necessary process of reduction. Removing all the garbage to reveal what was there all the while. The trajectory Steve is on will take him as close to non-existence that anyone can get to and still have a body. It could take years but, Steves' writing excelerates this process. Steve will continue to channel progressively less and less energy into his dreamstate being, his teachings reduced, and refined down to a less tolerant form. His interests will withdraw from the world, and he will become as minimal as a person can be. As for the rest of you, take note. Steve blogs but, does not search anymore. He seeks only truth. The best advice I can give is this: Tattoo "Vitam Inpendere Vero" (Stake life upon truth) into the backs of your hands, and look at it everyday for the rest of your life. I am talking about the fact that butterflys no longer walk among the caterpillars. What 99.99% of humans don't realize is that they are caged birds in a boundless sky. Furthermore they don't realize that the cage IS UNLOCKED. People don't get the simple fact that life is urgent. The clock is ticking, and with every tick there is one less. With every breath, there is one less. Every moment wasted is a precious moment that you will never get back. People spend minutes, hours, days, and even years making money, and trying to get ahead, when they are wasting the most precious asset....TIME. Your life force is the most valuable thing you have, and people just wish it away. How many people spend the day at work just wishing the time away? It's urgent. This is an emergency. You must wake up!! It's your life, and it's slipping away from you. Did you feel the new fall breeze gently massage your skin today on your way into the office? Today is a beautiful day. A gift. What will you do with it?? Sit in an office and wish it away?? This is what it is to be awake. You cherish every moment of everyday, and you live in overflowing gratitude. At the end of the day, all I can say is a breathless "thank you." The universe is perfect. There are no mistakes. You are not in control. Surrender is the key. Drop the sword, and give up the fight. Wake up for goodness sakes. "Only that day dawns for those who are awake." H.D.T. Last edited by StandardDeviate; 09-16-2010 at 03:57 PM. |
