Subjective Reality Bats This is something I'm finding very creepy and I don't understand it. A few weeks ago, one of my friends was interrupted at his bedroom computer by a bat flying into the room from somewhere unknown. That hadn't happened to him before, and it was disturbing of course. A day or two later, a girlfriend and I went to a little museum and in the basement, stuck between two windows was a dead bat. That seemed like one of those typical 'syncs' to me. However . . . last week my cat brought a bat into the house from the deck, and that's been upsetting to me. I decided that was the end of it, that I'd go with the "things happen in threes" and be done with it. Yesterday there was a mouse in the house, and I was tired of all this, and for some reason the phrase "You know I don't find this stuff amusing anymore" came to mind. I was going to post that line on Facebook. As I began, I got curious about the lyrics to "You Can Call Me Al" because I don't know the song real well. I looked up the lyrics and read them. Sure enough, there's a line in there about a bat-faced girl  That was creepy enough. But now this morning one of my cousins calls and tells me her dad has lung cancer. It is not the most aggressive of the lung cancers like my mom died of, and it has not spread, so at least there's that. So I'm sitting here this afternoon feeling like all these bats foreshadowed this somehow, and I decided to see. I ran a Google search for 'bat lung cancer,' and sure enough, there's a bunch of hits about British American Tobacco (BAT) and lung cancer. I don't think I'd ever heard of British American Tobacco before. I don't know what to make of this but I don't like it. |
James had an episode with a bat as well.... You could look up one of his posts, because he wrote a lot about the symbolic meaning of bats. |
I swear I am not making this up . . . my girlfriend just called to tell me her boyfriend went to church yesterday evening, and there was a bat flying around during the service  @ ssandra -- I'll look up what James said |
Very interesting, Moonrambler! Does not sound like made up me. So, what do think this means to you? |

Thanks ssandra, I did find it. I gotta say some of that stuff about what a bat symbolizes, prosperity and good luck, seems like stuff people make up when they try to reassure somebody who had a bat get into the house :p I'm not so sure it symbolizes or means anything in this case, or if it's *just* reflections and connections. |

I regard bats as very cool. They are basically mice with wings and radar equipment. http://media.bigoo.ws/content/gif/ca...artoon_168.gif "No, me not evil." |
I think its more to do with the sonic thingys bats use to see their environment. In the same way you cant truly subjective reality but you can use tools. |

So I go on Facebook this morning and one of my friends has posted that a bat got into their house for the first time yesterday, and they've lived there for 24 years. |

Would you prefer to see it as good luck and prosperity coming your way, accepting the message? or Would you prefer to see it as creepy flying mice who are just way to freaky to deal with? (I don't get bats are freaky though... I love them. They are so beautiful! ) |

I fell in love with bats (well, sort of), after a nature expedition many years ago to a place called the Mulu Caves, in Sarawak. The Mulu Caves are the world's largest cave system. Anyway there is one area where you can go in the evening. And around sunset, you can watch, as MILLIONS of bats start flying out from the caves. You can stand and watch for about 45 minutes, and the bats are steadily flying out in a constant stream. From a distance they look like a thick cloud darkening the skies. There are other parts of the caves where you walk over hills of ..... bat dung. Literally - hills. It's dung that has collected and hardened over the centuries, from the bats roosting way above your head. Some of the local people come here from time to time, to dig and get fertiliser for their crops. And they take it away, by truckloads. |
No body can tell you the meaning of this. You have to intuitively know what it is. You are creating your reality based on whats within and thats how you interpret events. These things happen to me too and I consider them random. And I've also noticed interestingly that the frequency of synchronicities have kept increasing for me in the last couple of years and in the last month particularly. I don't really pay attention to these syncs unless there is an obvious message for me in which case it isn't random. |
