Understanding Cataclysmic Events from an SR Perspective

Help me with this.

Things are looking really, really bad in the world right now. In Moscow, around 700 people a day are dying due to smog from wildfires in Russia sparked by an unusually hot, dry summer. Morgues are near capacity.

The oceans are being emptied of large fish, systematically. Ships drag mile-long nets across the bottom of the sea, bringing up large numbers of all species of fish, picking out the good ones, and dumping tons and tons of dead creatures back into the sea. Jellyfish are taking over the waters.

The Gulf of Mexico is in wretched shape, not only due to the oil, but also due to run-off from fertilizer from industrial agribusiness practices. Excess nitrogen rushes down the watershed into the sea, creating anoxic "dead zones" where nothing can live.

In my own neighborhood, I see pine trees dying, as my chilly northern state of Minnesota experiences more severe weather extremes.

A giant iceberg has just cleaved from the coast of Greenland.

If the inside reflects the outside, if I create my reality, if we are dreaming this together, how do we stop this??

This seems so much bigger than me. I need help.

Why are you creating cataclysmic events? From an SR perspective, it's not bigger than you; it IS you.

But really, are you saying you don't experience these things in your version of reality? If so, can I go live there?

I say "us" because, well, it is my experience that there are a lot of "us" out there. And I don't feel capable, yet, of dissolving these problems on my own, either on a "practical" or a "mind" level.

On a practical level... we need to stop burning fossil fuels. Period. We need to come up with more ingenious ways of staying warm, staying cool, moving over the surface of the Earth, and getting food out of the ground.

On a mind level...? I don't know.

I don't have a version of reality, xtal.

Sounds like you're straddling perspectives here. I responded using an SR perspective, which was what you referred to in your OP. And now you're flipping to a different perspective, one that's not SR.

You can use both perspectives to approach your problems, of course, but you might find it more effective to use a more laser-like focus in examining your choices.

Well, I'll say a couple of things here.

1) "Personal Development" doesn't happen in a vacuum. For me, Personal Development doesn't just mean making my own life better. It means to improve reality for all creatures on Earth, including myself. Therefore, I care about what is happening "out there" in the world, as well as things pertaining only to me such as my career, relationships, etc.

2) Subjective Reality, LOA, mastery of one's own mind; to me these are all one thing and they are the most important tool in the toolkit of Personal Development. I want to believe that the outside and the inside are intimately connected. I do see evidence of it, all the time.

2a)If such is the case, it is very, very important to me to understand why I am "manifesting" such horrible news about the environment.

Maybe it's not SR. Maybe it's consensus reality, so it takes many people on board or being peaceful before the whole world can be peaceful.

However, in the SR perspective, what makes you manifest horrible things is observing those things as horrible.

Yes, you've given me a lot to think about here. I am afraid of a pure SR reality. I have been thinking lately that the sticky, slow, solid universe I inhabit -- a world of solid, seemingly-intractable objects -- is like training wheels for the mind. I know it's almost time for the training wheels to come off, but I am afraid!! There could be ghosts! aliens! apocalypse!!!!!

...and so I am manifesting fearful events in the "outside world"?

How's your relationship with the world "outside" of you? How do you perceive it, what do you feel toward it? How do you then experience it?

Humanity has been a mistake. Consciousness is managing a controlled extinction of humanity. Afterwards, some new species will take over. So it's all good. Hope that helps.

I think your understanding of SR is not very correct. We as people are merely just egoes, a small walking parts of conscience. On our level, we are separated and can only influence our world through taking direct action.

However, there is a much higher conscience that connects everything - me, you, Steve and even Vladimir Putin But -we can't become it or feel it while we're submerged into that dream character that we call "I".

I believe that's what most of religions taught us about - to transcend yourself and realize that you are truly God and God is you. By "you" I don't mean "you" as a person, but you as that conscience that always was and always will be, that "you" that doesn't need an ego to exist, and is not bound by earthly definitions.

So, while we remain egoes, we can't really know what's going in the world and why. We don't have influence over it unless we succeed to merge with God and realize that we are in fact Him. Then, and only then will the answers become clear to you.

Sounds schizophrenic, I know, but that's my understanding of SR. Hope it helps!
