Default SR Questions?

Well I have enjoyed reading the post about subjective reality. However I have questions. Some have already asked in other’s post, but the answered have not made it clear for me to understand.

The understanding I have of subjective reality, is we are living our life in a dream like world, meaning ever thing we see is just a projection of our mind. We live our life in our body, and everyone we come into contact with, is brought into our life by us, to make this dream as real as possible to us, and us alone. Everyone else is just a character in our dream. Other characters that come into are life/dream world, are there to help us learn something about our self. So every thing, even the dog barking, has some meaning to it. I just have to figure out what that might be.
Some things I don’t understand are. If I’m creating this dream world. Why would things I could not even think about happening come into my dream world? An example would be the oil spill in the gulf? 9-11 plane crash? Events in the world like floods. How would I even have a thought to bring this kind of thinking into my brain?
I have read Busting Loose from the money game and see that as a starting point maybe.
And I would like to see if anyone has step by step, on the how to get started down this subjective reality trail in an everyday life approach. Thanks

Why worry about it? Enjoy the article and move on. It's a complete waste of time debating this topic- at best you can see SR as a lens and I very much doubt anyone can wear it very long in the real world. No one will be able to answer your queries, and as they say "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!"

And if it IS too good to be true, then do a little dance and rejoice, because, hey, can things get any damn better than that?

I don't think the original poster is debating or arguing about this. I think he is asking for more information.

And I would love to learn more "living" or rather seeing this as a dream world myself.

See, I knew others would want more step by step information from Steve or others who are living this way. A updated pod cast from Steve on the subject would be cool. Pod cast 16 or 17 was some help. But a up to date version would be helpful to most of us on here. IMO

The way I understand the SR perspective, it's pretty much like in a night dream. During the night people sometimes have nightmares yet they don't want to have them. They're here because they represent some part of ourselves that we resist, like a shadow self that appears in a threatening way because it's been repressed too much, or because it represents our fears. (I think it works like the shadow works in psychology : Shadow (psychology) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

About the step by step on the how to get started on this perspective, I see it as a continuous process. You explained it yourself actually :

In the SR perspective, everything is part of yourself, even the things you'd rather not see or that you don't like, and you can integrate them and figure out which (repressed or not) part of you they represent.
