Sounds like you guys had an awesome time. I like how there was a greater emphasis on social challenges, with time provided during the workshop to complete them. It was one of the most memorable parts of CGW 1

I think you're going to love this part at the October CGW, Alex. It will be especially fun with a bigger group. We spent about 30 minutes of workshop time doing these challenges each day at CGW #4, splitting into groups of 3-4.

The workshop seems to be evolving and becoming better with each successive presentation. I'm looking forward to CGW Halloween.

It is really great to have CGW #5 to look forward to. That in itself is a great focal point to use to visualize what I want my life to be like by then.

Here is one of the goals that I am spinning now:

"I find bellydancing to be a natural extension of my being and wonder why I did not incorporate it into my life earlier. I often surprise myself with the level of coordination I have developed by bellydancing and juggling. This benefit has affected many other areas of my life--for example my driving skills have improved greatly. I also feel elated when I wake up each morning and realize what a fit body I have developed. I am in better shape now than I ever have been in my life and a shining example of vibrant health to my many clients and readers. Halloween 2010 is the most magical day of my life in that I have completed yet another CGW conference and am feeling deeply connected to the other attendees and taking delight in all the crazy costumes they are wearing though I feel rather at home yet a bit risque in my awesome bellydancing attire."

I dare ya all to put yourself out there as well

I'm scared of the social exercises already!

While the CGW was on, I was at the 2010 Animal Rights Conference, and I was so far from walking up to random strangers and introducing myself (granted, I was only there for about half of it or less). I met a few cool/interesting people (particularly bloggers whose names I recognized on their name tags), saw some I already knew, but disappointed that I didn't meet more people.

One of the 7 principles taught at CGW is courage, so part of the workshop is devoted to building courage via progressive training. It doesn't matter what your current level of fear is since you'll emerge stronger at the end of the 3 days. There's a whole category of exercises to help you train up your confidence and move beyond approach anxiety.

You can't really live consciously if you feed your power to your fears instead of your desires, so we have to address this.

If you prefer to keep those fears though, along with the limitations they cause you, don't attend CGW since the workshop will help you shed them. That isn't a joke. Some people simply aren't ready to move beyond their fears yet.

YES! to having CGWs in differnet locations in future. I'd definitely do my best to go if you had one in the UK

Interesting. Sounds like this last CGW was focused on removing blocks to growth (i.e. fears) rather than on methods for finding what one wants (i.e. guidance/growth heuristics).

Perhaps guidance isn't the point of CGW's, which is why so many were not as happy with CGW3, but I greatly benefited from it (or coincidentally figured out what was meaningful in my life on my own not too long afterwards). Or maybe I was just too dense to get it from 'the book'.

Anyway, glad to see things worked out well for this one.

CGW sounds more and more amazing all the time!

I agree that once a quarter is probably too frequent to hold CGWs in the same city.

Steve, what are the chances that you'll take CGW outside of Nevada next year? Would you be wiling to do one in Chicago?
