A year and a half or so ago I Googled "how to get up when your alarm goes off". At the time I didn't even know I was into personal development, and then the whole world of I-M and non-religious spirituality began to unfold in front of me. Thanks Steve! Thanks Erin! |

It was around a year ago, I was Googling "polyamory". Little did I know at the time that deciding to shed the artificial constraint of monogamy was going to set me off on a whole journey of figuring out how to shed all sorts of other artificial constraints and limiting beliefs, start me off on a spiritual journey, and turn my whole self inside out. I don't post much (just got around to joining the other day) but I've been a "regular" ever since. There is so much here, on so many topics, that resonates with my way of thinking, in a world where I frequently feel like an alien. |

I think from searching for working without a job back when I'd just finished highschool - the first article I read said something about how he went from taking an hour to clean up the kitchen to 10 minutes - from then I was hooked!

I had a metaphysical/mystical dream which was the most mind blowing beautiful, indescribable, exquisite, blissful experience of my life, a little over 2 years ago. And was trying to figure out what the **** just happened to me?! I think I was googling dreams of oneness & light or something like that & stumbled upon Steve & have been hooked ever since |

Incessant Google searches on IM/LoA and related topics. This site was always the top match, which in retrospect doesn't surprise me. The first thing to catch my eye was the million-dollar challenge. |

To be honest, I'm not sure how I found Steve. One day I wasn't reading it, then I was. Except I almost feel like the former day never really existed, you know? Sort of like in a dream, where you start in the middle of the action, but don't know how you got there . . . wait a second . . . |

I googled something related to manifestation or creating your own reality. I don't remember the search string. It was all downhill from there, hee. What kept me here is that this is the only community that seems to really discuss *other* stuff, as well as have an even mix of genders. |

As for the flying, well, I haven't tried directly, but my world provides these handy, giant, metal contraptions that allow us to fly. Last edited by Tyler Fowler; 08-16-2010 at 02:05 PM. Reason: Smily Fixing

Not sure why you wouldn't consider a PD book written by someone other than a scientist/coder! I originally "found" Steve through his old computer games software company, Dexterity Software. I was coding games on the side for love (but sadly not money). I must admit I was surprised when Steve hung up his compiler and started his new blog. But looks like it turned out OK! (I have this theory that Steve will go back to coding one day)

I think I was like 16 and I was looking up articles on time management. I had a lot of windows open and then I fell asleep without turning the comp off. My Mom ended up reading Steve's article and how he graduated with two degrees in three semesters. My Mom doesn't bother herself with PD or anything now. But I've been reading his articles and visiting the forums since then. On and off for while before this year actually. And I was more attracted to Erin's blog actually. She is so cool. |
