Default News for Steve... world disaster...in 2036... maybe
The last time I checked you'd given up news. YOu told your readers to warn you if there is a real disaster. So I figured I should tell you about this possible Extinction Level Event:

Asteroid Apophis has a 1 in 45,000 chance of hitting the earth in 2036.

By 2036 I'm sure humanity will have an answer.

Oh, I'm sure we'll have problems getting our computers upgraded by that time. We'll have a similar yet trickier problem than the Year 2000 bug.

There's going to be a consciousness shift by 2012 anyway - why worry? Only those troglodytes left behind will have to worry about this rock... and by then, the planet will be setting herself up for the new species that will dominate.
