Actually, I'm working on a workshop with another blogger. But it will be on a different topic. Look for that in 2010.

Really enjoyed your workshop...the people were the best part! It was great to see so many younger people attending one of these workshops, particularly people without the "needy" energy that so often shows up in the self-help industry. I was really grateful to meet everyone!

I really wish we could have attended, but am happy to hear there will be more! I attended a James Ray seminar in Vegas a while back. Just about all of his staffers are volunteers that have previously attended and volunteer to work for the chance to go again. Just a thought when Steve said he might need more staffers for future events. So glad to hear it was a success!

It sounds like it was a wonderful social occasion, filled with lots of love and energy, but what I'm really looking forward to hearing about is the growth! The breakthroughs! The learnings! What is now possible for you now that is a triumph over the past?

This was my most unique Las Vegas experience. I was asleep by 9 because I left the workshop really tired each day.

Doing most of the exercises was a little uncomfortable for me, but there was no pressure and I could feel a lot of support from partners and everyone else. There were a couple of minor breakthroughs for me, but the important thing was learning how to apply the principles so that the effect of the workshop lasts longer than the weekend.

Each day was pretty heavy and I'm sure I missed a lot, so I'm looking forward to reviewing the DVDs.

Thanks to Steve and everybody who attended and worked there. Making new connections with growth-oriented people wasn't a goal, but it happened anyway and I'm happy about it. Next time, I'll actually try to make friends and see what happens.

By the way, this post was one of the reasons I went: 3-Day Las Vegas Workshop Oct 2-4 (Blog) When I asked Erin about it at the end of the workshop, it's like she already knew the question was coming. In case anyone is wondering, I'm the Alex you didn't meet. The other ones were much more social and visible than I was.

Yeah. Steve, you weren't the only one drained. ;P

It was actually a little hard to concentrate on day 2 because my head was still swimming from day 1 and all the information and things to think about on day 2 were great! Definitely looking forward to the DVD!

I actually came to the workshop with the intention of meeting lots of different, wonderful people. I can definitely say I met that goal and then-some.

I KNOW I would have loved going, and I'm definitely among those hoping there'll be a second opportunity. But even though I wasn't there, I can already share some personal feedback having received a simple and thoughtful message from someone who was... the ripple effect of love and positive energy I suppose... it's a beautiful thing Steve. Reading the blog post on the results got me SO PUMPED. I whole heartedly support more seminars. It sounds like everyone had an awesome time. I can feel the energy of the group right here in my chair.

Next time... when I've got more money

Did Steve have an equivalent to Anthony Robbins walking on hot coals or Harv Eker's breaking the arrow with your neck? Maybe something like a banana eating contest?

I'd love to hear peoples' feedback on what segment they thought were most/least valuable at the conference. Here are a few of my thoughts on what I found the most helpful:

Career and Work:
I came to this conference to help me think about ways to spend my time now that I've left Wall Street (I guess you might say I'm looking for a more heart-centered path!). I left with good direction and a lot of actionable ideas.

Relationships:
I thought the relationship segment was a positive surprise. Having Erin up there on stage gave extra realism and context to subjects that might have otherwise seemed abstract with just Steve discussing them.

Habits and Daily Routine:
I went home with some great ideas for specific practices I can adopt to get the most out of my days. I was really happy with this segment.

I am curious about your process of deciding to actually go for some cooked food. Did your intuition tell you that that was just what you needed, in a way that was so strong and clear that you simply knew it would be good for you?

(After all, you had written in an article that last time you had quite some unwanted physical reactions after eating a cup of oatmeal, so you might have questioned the idea at first?)

Did you miss the recent video interview with Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes-Monarch where I was discussing how I've been experimenting with balancing raw and cooked foods for the past several months? If so, that would explain your confusion.

Last night's Toastmaster meeting was incredibly fun -- and FUNNY! The energy in the room was higher than I've ever seen it.

Alex Wu's Table Topics answer was absolutely hysterical -- I was still laughing about that on the way home.

During the meeting I was thinking to myself, What the heck did we put in those green orbs? (an inside joke for workshop attendees)

I'm still buzzing with energy from the workshop. I tried to get a full night's sleep, but I popped wide awake at 3am after 5 hours sleep. I feel like doing something creative.

Lots of people have been telling me they were sad to see the workshop end and want to hang out together even longer. One attendee told me last night that she was supposed to return to work today, but she decided to stay in Vegas an extra day just to keep hanging out with the other attendees who are still in town.

As I’ve stated before, one sub-goal is to establish a global non-profit organization similar in structure to Toastmasters International, with thousands of local clubs around the world.

Great idea! This is what I'm waiting for (though hopefully I will take an action instead of just waiting ).

The video guy estimated about a month to do the first round of editing, but he might be able to get us some clips before then.

I'll post a full review later, but I have to comment on this because I couldn't agree more. I definitely would have stayed an extra day had I not already paid for the flight back.

We had such a great group of people this weekend that it's bittersweet in a way, because we're all so interested in connecting with people and getting to know them on a deep level, and there were simply too many people and too little time to be able to connect with everyone.

A FANTASTIC time was had by all, and kudos to you, Steve, and to Erin, for pulling it off. I would have loved to come to that Toastmasters meeting as well...sorry I missed it!

Not only was the workshop great (I'll email you feedback) but just being in a room full of articulate, thoughtful and conscious people was like drinking a glass of fresh water -- it was SO nice!

The connections we all made and felt were very powerful indeed, and were - for me, at least - one of the best parts of the whole thing. It brought me to tears at one point, which isn't easy to do -- both from how amazing it felt and how sad it is that we don't all feel this way more often. I carried that out into the world and spread it around, and believe me - people noticed!

Steve, as you adjusted and relaxed put more of yourself in as the weekend progressed the workshop got more and more fun - attributable to other factors as well, of course - and you definitely smiled more on Day 2. No one can ever say 'This was a stupid workshop!'

Enjoy your well-deserved rest, and I'll agree with Michael - it was exhausting for us as well - in a really good way.

Steve...you do realize that your pricing out alot of people from your material right?

I can understand Erin being inundated with requests for her psychic services. I can understand you wanting to keep the event itself somewhat small, but now your talking about copies of data....its cheap to create and publish DVDs. Please, for the love of all those who are actually trying to get out of the lower income bracket, at least try to remember what it was like to BE in the lower income bracket.

I have to second this. It would be very difficult for me to justify spending $300 dollars on a DVD set.

Perhaps you could offer a cheaper alternative for the financially sensitive? Such as an Internet download, perhaps? I'm not actually interested in the physical DVD, anyway, I'm more interested in what's on the DVD.

I'll third that comment.

I know we're talking about a good 30 hours of material here (give or take), so I'm not expecting some sort of bargain price for it. I mean, I expect to pay more than I would for a movie (which is like $20). I even expect to pay more than I would for a TV show on DVD (which is like $50).

$300 is a bit of a stretch. Even the special tentative price of $197 is a little steep.

But on the other hand, I notice that a lot of personal development people price their products high. A downloadable option would be awesome, though.

Have you people crying 'too expensive!' considered the costs of making the DVDs, the camera crew, the editing, the packaging, the postage and payments handling? Maybe producing too many sets that aren't sold?

Download options seem nice but also incur costs: setting up the site, payments handling for instance. People have to administer it too.

I'm not sure what the costs would come too, but it sure isn't free.

And: nobody is forced to buy the DVDs.

It seems a bit like saying BMW is too expensive for me. It is, but I don't complain about it .

Cute analogy, but BMW's don't contain information that can change someone's life for the better.

Steve has already covered the event costs, with thousands to spare. Just using my own experience with the editing, it will cost some, but you can turn a tidy profit from DVD sales without putting the purchase in the hundred plus range.

I am also ware that I am not "entitled" to the DVD. I know that. But I also know that Steve is pushing more of his content into for-profit ventures, adn while that is his right, he also should be cognisant of the natural psychological tendency to price everything around what YOU and other LIKE YOU could afford, and benefit from, forgetting the fact that the people far below him on the socio-economic ladder would benefit most form the material.

I'm just looking to remind Steve that while he looks down on all us little people, to at least throw some tasty scraps down from the table very now and then. Maybe then, we'll have the honor of joining him as a member of the "enlightened" class.

Agreed - another couple of days just to hang out with the entire group and share ideas, emotions, and conversation would have been incredibly valuable.

Some people may disagree about that . OK replace with 'live Anthony Robbins seminar' or whatever you like.
