Steve Pavlina quotes

So today I was looking for a good quote to put in the byline of my blog, so I googled "Steve Pavlina quotes" and found this:

Quotes by Steve Pavlina :: Finest Quotes

I discovered that reading those quotes on their own like that (as opposed to being wrapped in 7000 words of text in a blog post) seemed to resonate and carry more weight with me. I suppose that's why i like quotes, because by themselves they can be very powerful motivational tools.

So I thought it'd be cool to have a thread where you post your favorites quotes from Steve's stuff.

"The more disciplined you become, the easier life gets."

Ouch! I don't know why that hurt.

One quote that's really important and you don't hear from other PD gurus is the one in my sig.

Nah, I don't like seeing that list of quotes. I actually have an RTF file where I have been pasting in the memorable parts of Steve's articles, whether it be half the article or just a line or two. I bold the most memorable parts of all, and that provides the Steve quotes I like. :) Originally I started doing this because I was reading the long series of self-discipline articles and was determined to learn it, but I ended up reading a bunch more articles and doing the same. I have LOTS of favorite quotes from Steve, but here's just one:

Quote:

A general rule of thumb is that people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year, but they underestimate what they can accomplish in five years.

Nice List!

I particularly like this one: "One of my core beliefs is that belief itself is a choice that can be made of our own free will."

And I have to say that I disagree with the discipline one. If you keep pushing your limits, it never gets easier.
