Default Thank You, Forum, You Problem Solving Baboon You. *loves*

This is just my little note saying thanks to the forums.

I wrote up a message with something I've been struggling with, but as soon as I wrote it out, I saw what my problem was, which was never really even a problem.

It's a form of journaling. I have a huge audience (in theory) with a forum post, so I have to explain everything. It gets everything "out there", whereas in my private journaling that I never intend to post online, I tend to mentally hold things back because I "understand them". Which is false. If I did, I wouldn't be journaling.

So this is my little note saying thanks and perhaps a helpful tip if someone is struggling to figure out a problem. Write the forum post intending to post it. After you finished it, though, just go back and read it over once or twice, and think about it. A solution will probably make itself clear. If not, then simply post it, because help is needed.

Agreed all around!! I have probably done this half a dozen times in the last year here.....I write it all out, read it before posting, and have that 'ah ha' moment and just delete the post because it was now a pointless exercise.

The act of spelling it out for others really helps me look at something anew....or it is magical forum powers....one of the two

This reminds me of the same process I went through a few times when going to the WordPress IRC channel for WordPress help. Sometimes, by the time I got connected, I had a solution in mind already.
