Default YouTube video of Steve and Erin with Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes

Raw foodie friends Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes visited us for lunch yesterday during their trip to Vegas. They filmed a 10-minute video walking around our house if you care to see it:
YouTube - Steve Pavlina on Affirmations, Episode #136

I met Matt last year, and it was great to finally meet Angela after talking to her online a lot.

With the help of our raw chef friend Darlene Navarre, we made a few simple dishes for our all-raw lunch. Not shown in the video was a raw strawberry cheesecake Darlene made for dessert.

I hope you mention that nifty goal board in your next book (I assume that's what Goal Development for Smart People is), because I'd love to refer to it to up my own game.

Goal Achievement for Smart People is a working title for the new audio program I'm working on. It is still many weeks away from release. I currently devote about half of each workweek to this project.

It's a program that explains in great detail how to set and achieve goals (i.e. outcomes you define)... way beyond trite expressions like "take massive action."

I can't give a specific release date because I'm doing a ton of research and personal testing to make sure the content is very solid and practical, so I can't yet predict when it will all converge. But so far I'm really excited by how it's coming along.

At this point the high-level outline is done, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through with the detailed point by point outline for each segment.

I estimate it will include about 10-12 hours of audio content when it's done, most of it new material that hasn't appeared elsewhere.

The main reason I chose this topic is that being able to set and achieve goals was one of the top challenges readers told me they're facing right now.

I'm planning to offer this product as an instant download (MP3s and a PDF workbook).

Yesterday someone gave me a bunch of corkboards, until I watched that video I wasn't sure what to do with them. Now I know. It's going in my office with my daily affirmations so that I can see them all the time. Love how simple and consistently those affirmations will be in my awareness. score!!

It's great to see this Steve!

I love your house. And your office. I want to get around to putting an affirmations board in front of me so it's imprinted into my subconscious. That's a good idea. It's all part of having a supportive environment!

And I'm looking forward to your audio program!

Wheee!

Awesome video. I feel that I really got a better look at what you and your house are like. Mostly the video just confirmed my suspicions, but it also clarified some details.

Very clean house. Lots of empty shelves! It's rare to see a shelf unused, people in general can't stand having empty spaces. "If you have an empty space then either you don't have enough stuff or you're not disorganized enough" Negation overload

And that bathroom is really awesome.

I loved this, but I am a big sticky beak. I would love to see more videos to be honest. I think Steve comes off as a bit more shyer on camera

I imagined it to be really clean as well, pretty much what was shown, but I was suprised to see in Steve's study little knickknacks and what looked to me like plants. It looked like Erin's study was more minimalist, than Steve's.

Flips are so much fun, you're each going to want your own, I think! They're really light and small, like a pack of cigarettes, so you can take 'em everywhere, and they make a pretty good movie!

Nice, I liked the video format. It's definitely more personal than text. I don't have a video camera myself at the moment though. I'm not really sure what I would do with it.

Cool video. It's nice to see how down to earth Steve and his wife are in the midst of all this "success".

Those affirmations are effective, and I took Steve's point about being specific about what you want to heart. I've spent a lot of time focusing on resistance and stuff like that, the metaphysics of success, but not enough time keeping a specific outcome in my mind, all the time.

Yes the trick is to make the goal something you feel you can reasonably achieve. Case in point. A guy wrote to me to complain that the LOA wasn't working because he set a monetary goal and wasn't even close to achieving it. I asked how much he made per month and he said, $2,000. Then I asked what goal he set. He replied, "87 million dollars per year." And I'm like, "87 million dollars? Why so high?" He said, "If this LOA crap works, it should be no problem right?" Talk about not setting a goal you can be a vibrational match for!

Set the goal to something that would be challening but reasonably achievable. Even we haven't set an intention to make 87 million per year, yet. One increment at a time.

Thanks Simona.

The bathroom may have looked more complicated than it is. It basically has the shower and tub in the middle (with yummy jets!) and then on the right side is my side, and it's a mirror image on the other side of the bathroom for Steve's side. Our closets are slightly different, but both are large and we don't have that many clothes or shoes in there.

Right, I guess it's finding that sweet spot. You don't want to set it so high that it seems unattainable, but not so low that it doesn't inspire you. I guess for me, I want to set it just above what I believe is "possible", need to s t r e t c h the parameters of what I think I'm capable of. For me, that's probably around double the income I am "used" to.

I am absolutely in love with the two showers next to each other in your bathroom. That's something I dream to have since the boyfriend likes scorching hot showers and I like medium hot showers, but we like taking showers together.

Beautiful home.

I instantly stole your goal-board idea Steve

Funny coincidences started to happen when I put up my first goal of making $1000/month from my websites. I made a few sales and a few good things happened. Perhaps the universe is taking me more seriously.

I'm looking forward to more videos from you guys, they are addictive!

Cool videos. I liked the affirmations in Steve's office, to constantly remind your subconscious. I am confused about one point, though. Doesn't the LOA say that once you make your order to the universe, you should forget about it? Or are these affirmations different from the LOA intentions that you want to manifest?

Edit : It's much clear after reading Steve's latest blog post. Thanks, Steve.
