How many numbers do you notice throughout the day that aren't related to 11? Or how about if you changed the number to, say, 9, instead of 11? The 11:11 concept has always seemed to be a bit of a confirmation bias to me, but the topic is interesting nonetheless. Thanks for the article! |

This will probably only identify how "not quite there yet" I am, but I decided to pay attention to 11:11 a while ago. Every time I saw 11:11 (or $11.11, etc), it was so uneventful, that the only message I could possibly take away from it is that 11:11 is meaningless in my life right now. So I guess I'll go back to counting blue cars. |

OK - I got half way through the article and thought, what the hell, let's try this, and I glanced down at the time on my computer and it was 7:13!!! Weird!! Of course this isn't quite enought to take me out of the skeptic camp. But still - weird!!! |

11:11 is definitely not the only sign out there. I entered through quite a different, but equally powerful, set of signs. So if you're reading this and going "Hey! 11:11 has no significance to me!" my suggestion is to ask for a sign. You may be amazed at what you get. Of course, if you ask for 11:11 to be your sign, you're in for an interesting ride. But it's worth noting that it doesn't have to be 11:11, or even a number. -Erica |

I was just vaguely aware of the meaning of 11:11 about a month ago - all I knew, from browsing the forums, was that it was of those numbers that was claimed to have "some kind" of significant meaning. At the time, I was considering, but had not committed to do a reading with Erin, as I wasn't sure if this was something I should do. I decided to sleep on it and hoped I would find my answer in my dreams. (Ironically enough, I was asking my higher self / guides to give me an answer on connecting with my higher self / guides). Well the next morning I awoke and had received nothing in my dreams. I fiddled around in my room for a little bit, and then walked out to the room with the only digital clock and it said 11:11. That was just the nudge I needed to book the reading.

So basically; 11:11 is a system through which I can gauge if I am on my true path? It is a symbol of the true nature of reality, and we must be open to this or other signs in order to be "directed" in the service of our higher purpose? So this is a signpost, a synchronicity, to our higher purpose? And by tuning into it, what really do we learn? I want to learn. |

Steve, how would you test your theories about 11:11? Is there any way at all? Or are your claims completely shielded from being falsified because of your comments like this: "As long as you linger in the doorway, you can never see proof of what lies beyond it. If you were provided such proof, it would violate your freedom to choose your beliefs, and that’s a huge cosmic no-no." ...? If your claims can't be tested or falsified, then why should we believe you? Last edited by symmetry; 02-04-2009 at 12:42 AM. Reason: added detail |

Steve I've followed your blog for years now but never really used the forums. This article practically forced me to register just so I could respond. I've been seeing 11:11 for at least 2 years now, sometimes day after day. Not only that, when reading about numerology a while ago I discovered the same for my birthday - Feb. 27 - 2,2,7=11 and if you add the year, 1980, 2,2,7,1,9,8 = 29, 2+9 = 11! 444 also happens regularly - in fact I woke up this morning (too hot) looked at the time and...it was 4:44 AM. I've googled both these numbers a while ago but couldn't fine anything that addressed it well enough for me. Advice on how to get through the door? I feel stalled. I also noticed that when things are not going so well for me I see these numbers less frequently. By the way, for the rest of the skeptics...not that I want to break your reality either but I am a trained scientist. I have a masters degree in medical science and rely on statistical analysis to do research but these experiences go way beyond my logical filters. |

I've experienced the same thing for years involving the number 24, or 1024, and similar variations such as the date February 4th (tomorrow? none of this probably makes sense to anyone because this phenomenon is something so subtle to my interpretation of reality that I'm hardly aware of it myself. so in essence Steve posting this blog is the manifestation the same synchronicity for me. wow. Hey Steve, Just wanted to say thanks (I'm sure I mentioned that you should write about the 11:11 in a message at some point). I always make my blog posts @ 11:11AM (local time) ... it's my personal way of 'giving a nod' to the people out there that have the same synchronicity running. I wanted to point out that 11:11 GMT is also the 'time' on Dec 21 2012 / 2011 (not starting a debate on the year here) that the Mayan Calendar Ends. ... Considering this is a civilization of people that knew more about 'time' then any other civilization to date (ours included), I thought that might be another tid-bit some readers find interesting. Personally, I don't remember a time that I didn't notice 11:11, and for a few years (over a decade ago now) I'm sure most of my friends thought I was a nutcase, but over time they have drawn (most) the same manifestation into their awareness and now see the humor in it. I think that a Mayan post would prove interesting, I also still recommend a 30 day trial of the Dreamspell (13 moon) calendar. Thanks for another great article :-) Warmest Regards, Robert |

Loved the article, Steve! I've been an 11:11 gal practically since birth. My sister and I used to celebrate every time that appeared on our clock; even my birth date (5-22-1973) is an 11, with the double 11 of the 22. ;-) There are some Mayan connections with 11:11 and Machu Picchu, too ... very ways they built 11:11 into the architecture for the way the sun will hit it at 11:11 on 12-21-2012, which, come to think of it, is another 11! Anyway, nice post. Synchronously, I just posted on synchronicity this afternoon, too. |

Some of 11:11 can be explained by Benford's Law: Benford's law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Benford's Law states that "1" will appear more often than "2" which will appear more often than "3" etc. - Bil |

I see 11:11 on the clock twice a day, and probably have every day for several months, when I first found out about this. But I don't know what to make of it. It only happens twice a day, isn't my mind now conditioned to notice 11:11 on the clock? It's like when our bodies wake up at the same time every day without an alarm. In any case, I usually find myself looking at the clock at that time and saying "oh yeah, 11:11". I do not enjoy counting so I don't know about non-clock 11's. But I am concerned that the world is going to end on my birthday, 12-21. Last edited by cylon; 02-04-2009 at 01:57 AM. |

Most people don't hold truly "objective" belief systems; they still have lucky numbers like their birthdays or lottery numbers. The "If you request proof, you will be shown something inconclusive every time" line struck a chord with me. We see the same thing with religion and space aliens. Christians say signs of God are all around us, while atheists say there are no signs. The signs are the same, but the interpretation different. You have to believe something contradictory to your current reality model to progress. You can see an object in the sky and assume it's a plane, but in fact it's an alien spacecraft. You'd never know. Then if you see aliens for real, everyone dismisses you as a nut. You can even take pictures, but they'll turn out blurry, further proving your lunacy. |

I know more than one person here noticed that when you try to post a message, the smiley faces on the right side equals 11. Also when you take a look at the words "Smart People", there are 11 letters too. ... I'm glad for this post. It's sort of like an empty post filled with substance. Sort of like being able to admire the inside of a fruit that you cut but you don't eat it yet because you're not really hungry. It's for later - what you are admiring is how much healthier you have become over the years. |

But yeah, 11:11 doesn't seem that prominent in my life. My zip code, all my phone numbers do not add up to 11. However, I am in the class of '11... that's what I got.

I've been noticing 11:11 for a couple of years now. I'd say daily that I will look at the clock and it will be 11:11. Sure, I thought, the clock is in my peripheral (i.e. computer clock in the task bar). But, there have been instances that so much has had to happen to get me to a specific spot at that specific time that it completely blows my mind! Once I had a meeting with someone and afterward I got in my car, started it, and noticed the clock shows exactly 11:11. Once I can understand, but this happens ALL the time to me. This doesn't necessarily crack my reality because I've always been open to this. In fact, I knew there was something to the Matrix when I first saw it! I have always felt that there was more than a grain of truth to that movie. So 11:11 has been more of a silent nod to me, but I am damn ready to be shown more! |

Thanks Steve for this timely article. I have been bothered by this phenomenon for a while. I have got at least 4 digital clocks at home, plus the one on my computer and the one in my car. Each time I looked at one of these clocks, it read some kind like 12:34, 33:44, 11:11, etc. I have no idea about 11:11 theory until I read Steve's article today, but I have been always trying to look through the digitals into subjective reality and LoA. And it works better and better. The explanation about 11:10 and 11:12 is fascinating. It is very nice to know that I am not insane, or at least there are other insane guys as smart as Steve out there who saw reality in the same way.

Apparently 11:11 is not an important factor in my red pill prescription, so I never noticed it on the blog page. However, I just noticed the little smiley at the bottom of the blog post for the first time ever! |

I noticed the sign 11:11 a lot on the clock. Then somebody said it was a conditioned thing - ever since, I only looked up and it would be 11:10 or 11:12. The universe has a sense of humour, I see. 11 isn't all that prevalent in my life anymore - however, it's interesting to note I'm born on the 29th of May in '92. My phone number has a lot of 9s. I don't think I have a number that's my sign, though. 9 doesn't actually appear that much for me. Since I'm going insane anyway, I may as well step through this doorway. :P |
