Default Defining my context

I am having real difficulty understanding how to define my context...I've read and re-read the beliefs postings but I've got this mental blockage...probably because once I define my context then I have to move on to the next level...eeeekkkkk!

I am stuck...if anyone can simplify this I'd be grateful.

For starters realize that you've already done it. You've defined a context of being stuck, which is still a context.

Sometimes it's easier to react to your current context. This helps you see where its edges lie, so then you can decide which parts are really true for you.

For example, you could ask:
  • Why am I stuck?
  • What would I have to believe in order to feel stuck right now?
  • What would I have to believe in order to stop feeling stuck?
  • What assumptions am I making that cause me to feel stuck?
  • Could those assumptions be wrong?
  • What other assumptions am I making? Could any of them be wrong?
  • What can other people seem to do that I can't?
  • Why do I believe I can't do those things? Could those beliefs be inaccurate?
