Default A way to help more people

I slept on it and decided to rewrite this post. I've come up with a few ideas:

1. If it's not done already, maybe there could be a series of threads on each member's purpose, including the medium and their message. That way people in this forum could find like-minded people so that together they could work on the same path. Achieve win-win situations on an international scale.

2. Maybe a questionnaire of some sort for the visitors of your website. The purpose of the questionnaire is to work out where they are right now in their lives. At the end of the questionnaire could be a set of blogs that will help them deal with the pressing issues that they face.

3. It would be great if Steve readjusted the home page so that it could target audiences at different levels of consciousness better. It is a communication tool, and your site has purpose, audience and delivery. The focus is on the bold adventurers. And it is your site, your beliefs, attitudes, values coming through. If people don't want to go through the journey head first, it's their choice.

However, the contention I pose is that people want to change but they're overwhelmed. It would be easier for the audience to have everything available, but when it's time to get to work, to have what they need in front of them.

I've been thinking along those lines myself, not necessarily for Steve's site, but rather for a hypothetical model of a site or series of sites of my own that would have something for people from all walks of life. Right now, this hypothetical model would involve a structured heirarchy. Unfortunately, some people at lower levels of consiousness would definitely have problems with such heirarchies, unless of course they were not aware of the higher levels until they were 'ready'. This runs counter to my philosophy of telling the truth at all times, but as I mentioned in a prior post, some people can't handle the truth. All of this would be a full time endeavor, so unfortunately, it is on hold until I can devote enough time and energy to make it work.

pdnewbie, I think those are great ideas. You have my full support.

I was thinking about #3 the other day -- some articles resonate with me more when I'm at a certain level of consciousness. If I'm not ready yet, I simply read, think "oh that's neat" and promptly dispose. With the plethora of articles available, it quickly becomes difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff, especially if you're brand new to this site.

This site doesn't exactly contain easily digestible content either, so the sheer volume of grade A information located here can (and probably does) quickly overwhelm much of the target market. I agree that a method of personalizing Steve's content would benefit his audience, resulting in more page hits, which will certainly benefit Steve.

Sure, why not? I can see how the extent of Steve's material can seem overwhelming to someone who happens to stumble upon the site, but I believe the problem is that the people who do this try and rush their reading and end up burning out before they absorb all the material. Personal development is not a contest, there are no blue ribbons. Allow yourself to go at your natural pace. Don't get all frustrated about how much material there is. You have the rest of your life to explore these belief systems and ways of improving yourself, so why does everyone want instant results? Wouldn't that be boring if everyone got instant results? What else would there be to live for once you have everything you've ever wanted?

So if people are having trouble getting their vibration up and cannot understand some of Steve's material because they are not at the right level of consciousness, then wait until you've reached that level to read those articles. Start small, work your way up. It's not complicated. Just sensical.

I remember when I first found the site over a year ago. I was interested in things like "How to make money without a job," but the whole consciousness thing was like, "What the hell is he talking about?" Now I'm more in tune with the spiritual posts and subjective reality musings. So it does take a little bit of time to warm up to Steve's more controversial writings, but I do enjoy them now that I understand where he's coming from.
