Also, it is likely that you lost weight while eating an equivalent number of calories of whole food, but not juice, because the whole food contains fiber, and fewer of the calories are actually digested. Nearly all of the calories from juice are digested.


On caffeine, yes it is designed to keep animals away, and this is the same with all poisonous plants or drugs, including tobacco, cacao and chocolate, and tea leaves. The chemicals are created to deter pests, which is why they are all neurotoxins. Humans are affected at lower level than the pests they are designed to deter, while still being affected by the toxins.

The same false-association is used to promote wine and other alcohols, that show side effects of grape-skins, for example, and the corporate and media outlets use this reverse-association to say that wine is healthy, while disregarding all the negative effects of the alcohol drug itself, which is generally a net negative overall in consuming these products.

One day humans will know better.

These vivid dream and astral-seeing-thingy caught my attention. Only these things make me feel I want to go on a juice feast

But one day I was wondering what if those things you see are just mere illusions? I mean, all the stuff: the spirit guide, the astral projections, everything? That your mind just tricking you and since you believe in such things, it seems real to you. Is there any possibility of this?

Don't get me wrong. I do believe in these things, not because I experienced them personally( not yet ), and a great deal of it is because I think your writings shaped my spiritual beliefs quite a lot. But I noticed that people oftentimes get caught up in things, that they can't see the obvious. It happened to me a few times before
That's why I ask this. I know probably it doesn't make a difference for you whether it's your brain tricking you or it is "real", I'm just curious that you ever thought about it before...

P.S.: this disc golf sounds like fun. I haven't ever seen this sport in Hungary, but I'm gonna search for a local place to try it out. I hope it's not too expensive.

I'll explain what was happening to me when Steve saw the apparition.

I was sleeping and having a dream. One of my friends was calling to me, "Erin, hurry, come quick." There was urgency in her voice. I followed her. We got to a room that was mostly dark. My friend said, "I can't stop him. He's going to jump. He's going to kill himself. Help him!" I couldn't see who she was talking about but then I heard a splash and realized someone had jumped into a body of water, maybe a swimming pool. I was frantic to turn the light on so I could see who suicided. She said the name Joey to me at some point as well.

I woke with a start, which startled Steve who was cuddling me. That's when he told me about the apparition.

So I was dreaming about a guy named Joey committing suicide in water. And Steve saw a female apparition. Would have made sense if he saw a male apparition because then I would have figured it was this Joey character coming to tell me how he died and wanting me to get a message to his family. But Steve thinks the apparition he saw was female.

All I can figure is that this deceased woman wanted to either warn me that someone she knew in life named Joey was getting ready to kill himself, or she and Joey were both already deceased and she wanted me to find Joey, who suicided, and release him from a self-inflicted torment. Both are scenarios that occur around me.

Deceased people often come to me in my dreams because I made a deal with my guides to never ever let me see a dead person standing over my bed. The shock would kill me. So they come in my dreams where I'm more open and able to see them anyway. Or I encounter them on the astral plane.

Steve and I spent about 5 minutes discussing the situation then rolled over the other way and went back to sleep. Just another day in the Pavlina household.

If my mind is tricking me, then I can't really trust anything that comes through my senses, including other people, science, my memories, and all my perceptions. So all becomes suspect, and I live in perpetual doubt about everything.

You can choose to live that way of course, but when you realize where it leads if you take it all the way, you basically just end up concluding that all of reality might be an illusion, and you end up at subjective reality.

Now since that could be the truth -- it's impossible to know for sure unless you find a way to escape the bounds of your own consciousness -- it's good to remain open to the possibility.

But then you still have another choice to make. How do you want to engage with all these potential illusions. Do you want to interact with them and explore them, or do you want to fear and distrust them and pull away from them. And there you get the principle of Love -- you can choose to connect or disconnect with anything that comes to you.

Since I find the astral stuff rather interesting, I prefer to connect with that part of my reality and explore it more deeply. Other people may decide it's not for them and pull away from it, tune it out, or believe it to be impossible, and that's fine too -- they'll connect with other things that may be more interesting to them.

Who knows? Several people have told me I appeared to them in their dreams to give them good advice after I posted that.

FYI aside from buying the discs (which are less than $10 each if you buy them one at a time), disc golf is free. There are courses in Vegas at public parks where anyone can walk up and start playing.

Regarding the white whispy apparation, shortly after my Granddad died- which is more than a decade ago by this time- when I lay in bed awake in the evening, and it was dark, I sometimes could see a white, whispy apparation hover over my bed, or sitting at the foot of it.
I couldn't see a face, but I most definitely saw hands. I never really was scared of it, god knows why, but I wasn't, and at one time it just didn't show up anymore.

The freaky experience was indeed freaky.
My explanation is that now that you are not eating (only drinking), you can more easily connect to the non physical world.
In some religions there are fasting holidays for this reason, to make the spiritual connection easier, to lift the soul above the level of the physical world.
Your diet is opening your inner eye, which seems to have been pretty open anyway. Plus the fact that Erin is constantly in touch with spirits, so the house is probably full of them.
I can also understand why Erin is not rushing to join you on this juice diet, she is already very connected to the spirit world which is probably a bit ungrounding and food is very grounding.

I had no idea this sport existed and now I see that there are even some tournaments in Prague and other cities around. I am definitely gonna try this one, just love throwing the discs. Disc golf looks like fun!

I've thought of that, too, especially recently. I went to a ghost hunt/medium gallery a week or so ago. When the medium was conducting her gallery, she was telling someone she was seeing 12/7, 12/7. The lady she was talking to was behind me, I didn't see her - but I suddenly knew that it was about Pearl Harbor, that her father wasn't at Pearl Harbor, but a very dear friend of his was. I didn't say anything - who am I, right? But the lady kept saying, "No, it doesn't mean anything. No one in my family was at Pearl Harbor." So finally, I said "It was her father's friend. I was SO altered after that! And when the ghost tour was done, the medium and I looked at each other and we were both like: I need food! Now! I was *ravenous*. So I've wondered since about mediumship and grounding, and food, and if a raw diet would be the ideal thing for someone doing readings.

After a day of readings I feel a strong urge to eat grounding foods (aka junk food). It definitely grounds me. But John Holland talks about going to the gym instead, as he feels the same urges. I know a LOT of other psychics and mediums use food to bring themselves back from the ether, but it's an unhealthy practice; one which I'm workign to avoid. I go to the gym in the morning, first thing, but perhaps I'd be better served going at 4pm instead. I'll have to think about that.

Steve told me if I went raw I'd probably become even more psychic. I can't even imagine where that would put me, but it would be interesting to see maybe I'll sprout a 4th eye! Oh, one at the back of my head would be cool...

My wife has suddenly, starting Halloween night, been seeing a dark shadowy figure appear next to her bed at night. I have seen nothing when she wakes me. I am not sure what to think.

Hmm the apparition sounded at first like a female version of an Incubus but Wiki doesn't say that Succubuses (what is the plural!) Succubus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia float over the bed although I'm sure I've heard of such a thing. But I doubt you've attracted such a thing so maybe it's something else more ghostly than demonic.

Could be an alien, or an observer from the future/different dimension.

Hello All, This is my first post here. I registered after reading about steve's 'freaky experience'. I had a similar experience too that night. When I went to bed, I fell into a semi-slumber. I had the feeling that there was someone sitting next to me. It was a very kind and loving presence. I dont remember colours or 'textures'. It wasnt floating or anything. It was like how Mom would sit by your bedside when you are burning a fever. I wasnt particularly hurting or upset that night. It was as though someone didnt want me to sleep alone that night. I woke up at 4.a.m and didnt feel the presence after I returned to sleep. I figured it was a dream. I dont know what it means, but it was very nice..

It's funny that you say this happened around 11:30pm. I go back and forth between some bad habits (evening cocktails, sweet desserts before bed) but when I've been taking good care of my body, my dreams are so much more vivid, sometimes partially lucid, and the weirdest thing is that I consistently wake up in the middle of the night at 10:30, 11:30, 11:33, 1:31, 3:13, 3:31, or 4:13 or 5:31, etc... On the eve of November 3 (that would be 11/3) I woke up with a startle to the radio clock (Atomic clock receiver) in the living room, it's alarm is going off at 12:00am midnight. Do you see the pattern? ;-)

Intuitively I know that it's a sort of sign/indication that I'm on the right track, and that I'm taking good care of myself and growing, and often I can't help but laugh when it happens! I've always been curious of this same indication of synchronicity happens for other people...

But the downside is that I'd always feel a bit like I was floating (that's the best way I could describe it), not really on the ground. I was living alone at the time and working from home as well so that didn't help in terms of being grounded.

So now I have gone back to my normal diet and go to the gym most days, after work, for some exercise and sauna. That really helps.

I had that too -- many raw foodists refer to it as feeling spacey -- when I was eating low-fat raw w/o many greens. When I added more greens and fat to the diet, I began feeling much more grounded, but I could also access the heightened intuitive side. The connection wasn't quite as strong, but it was still much better than I experienced on cooked food.

On the juice feast, I've become even more sensitive to subtle signals. It's actually a bit overwhelming though because I normally have so many people's energy coming to me (in the form of feedback, questions, offers, etc) that when I just look at my email, I start picking up all sorts of impressions about the senders. It could just be a two-sentence email, but I'm picking up all this other stuff with it.

I also did a little telepathy thing on Erin this morning. I felt her energy shift suddenly even though she was lying in bed and didn't even move, and I told her exactly what new thought had just popped into her head. It was so loud and clear.

I think many people can, even on a cooked food diet, although it may not be that conscious.

E.g. I find people replying to my e-mails/posts on this forum much sooner when I wrote it in a good state. That means people can unconsciously sense the energy behind the message. What I experience on raw, however, is that you can almost put the energy into words, it's that more clear.
