Wording from the article that struck me as a little strange:
(Ctrl+F search the results.) It's interesting--I can notice the difference in your writing whenever you do some sort of trial. My guess is that it's a little less polished than a regular article, but it might also be because it's harder to write well when you're not feeling good (I can relate!). |

Oh my, I really love this trial of you Steve! I think the article is very funny(maybe it's just me), and it got me wanting to make a smoothie. So I'm going to find myself some fruit and vegetables, blend it, and drink it while working on my new website. For anyone interested, I'm building a personal development social network specially for growth oriented people. You can sneak peak here Planifestation |

Any else feel that the 3rd day is always the hardest, in any 30 day trial, theres always times when it feels weird but you just got to persist. how do you know when to "PRESS ON" vs when you have to change your method? Last edited by supertom; 10-28-2008 at 10:24 AM. |

He's probably waiting for some bugs for breakfast. You should probably let him outside.

Steve's posts on the forum, and even his blog entries have been much more blunt the past couple of days. Maybe the change in diet is forcing up the old issues, or old ways? I guess if I hadn't eaten solid food in 3 days I would be a little grumpy too. I am sure you don't need to hear this from me, but keep up the good work, we are all behind you. |

When Steve mentioned his emotional ups and downs continued, i had an image of Erin spiking his juice with a tranqu to get him to chill out a bit Thanks for sharing your day with us Steve. Also, i loved to see your humor make a come back. Alot of your articles recently, while still very good, have been lacking that Steve humor i love so much. It was great yesterday to see the word Kittywopus come back and today with the take a little of the top and bottom - had me grinning ear to ear. Adrienne

Several years ago I tried a 12 day grapefruit juice fast (was at about 2 gals/day), and can remember many of the symptoms you have mentioned when first getting started, around Day 5 my body started getting used to the adjustment, which was also when my poop became mostly liquid, on day 8 things started getting interesting as I was able to enter trancendental states on command, where as I normally needed to quiet down for 15 or 20 minutes as you are already rather tuned in psychically I can only imagine what you will be tapping into hopefully this transition will get easier for you as you continue the f(e)ast blessings |

I know Kale that is picked after a frost will be sweet in flavor as opposed to bitter. And the longer after picked the more bitter it seems to become. I am curious if you could put it in the freezer to reactivate the frost-based sweetening effect to avoid overly bitter juice. Also I'm curious, when you did your January trial you talked about the feeling and stench of having garlic detox out of you, do you feel differently about it as a toxin now?
