I'm not Steve and you might not care, but I started capoeira in June and it rocks — and I totally suck at pretty much anything remotely sportesque. Thus, I also suck at capoeira (I got kicked in the head last week...), but I've never been so excited about a sport, ever. Highly, highly recommended.

Congrats to you for not only getting into something new but something that you're not immediately gifted at. And as for Capoeira, it can be a lot of fun. I once walked in on a Capoeira class and the number of hot women in there was astounding. Right now I am doing boxing and Thai Boxing. Have you ever tried Muay Thai?

Yes, hot women, tall gangly men (who have their charms), and lots of tattoos! I fall into none of those categories. =) (cute, yes. hot, not so much...) Being a large-motor coordination-challenged lass, I tend to avoid sports, so no — no Thai Boxing for me. But, I'm looking to moving out of the US (nothing against the US; I just like the challenge of being a foreigner), so if I end up in Thailand and there's no capoeira, I may just look into it. Since I am a musician, the whole singing/clapping/percussing part of capoeira is what sucked me in: a "gym class" with actual music making? I'm so there...

As long as you found something that you enjoy, that's all that matters. Where do you train at?

Steve used to study Kempo. I'm not sure if he still does or what he may be studying now.
