Lightbulb Thinking out loud

I have always liked stories of those that have achieved things, helping those that are on their way. I myself picture my elder years being a mentor to others, and think it would be part of an ideal world, having all those that know helping those that don't. Kind of like those that see helping those that are blind.

But I've realized this isn't an unique idea. Steve has talked about focusing his efforts on those he think can do the most good. One of my favorite movies The Ultimate Gift, spoke of leaving a Legacy. Pay it Forward is another shining example of this. The the dots didn't end there. I've always thought that there is an geometric progression when you bring multiple people into a idea, project, or goal. The more people the greater the result. Napoleon Hill called this "Master Mind". Christianity and religions were first to really use this. Think of Jesus and the 12 Apostles. He taught them, so they could teach others, even after he was gone.

I'm the type that all these things going on in the world bug me. US being 10.2 trillion in debt, Poverty, World Hunger and Thirst, Energy crisis? I mean, the world is over 70 percent water, and their isn't enough for people to drink? Everything that exists is energy and we haven't found a better way of using it? If these problems were forever solved, how would that change the face of our planet, little own our economy? Think of it, what if the governments worked based on the principles in The Richest Man of Babylon? Okay, 10% may be a bit much, but even 1% after a few decades, who'd need taxes?

These ideas all exist in the minds of men all waiting to be mined. So why not begin to mine them? I will applaud Google with their Project 10 to the 100.

Project 10 to the 100th

I see some companies doing this, others charging for it, but how to make it more accessible, more effective and eventually more viral? I like the thought of the Apostle Project, or Apostles of Consciousness.

straysweeper,

people have found better ways of providing energy, solar power, wind power, geothermal and more. Are all unlimited and environmentally friendly.

I went to 10 to the 100 and submitted my idea, thank you for letting everyone know about the great opportunity.

That is a beautiful vision Straysweeper!

In all these crises we need to remember that all is energy, and there *must* be solutions. We just have to focus on finding and applying them.

Thank you for posting this.

So you basically want to live in socialism where the government owns a lot of the companies?

I'm speaking of the principle of value begetting more value.

I don't mean to blame the government, but it is sickening to me that deficit could be so large, and left alone for so long. A Government by the People for the People, so in truth the blame lies among the people.

Again referring to Richest Man in Babylon. The wealth of a nation is in relation to the wealth of its citizens.

I don't yet know much about economics, I just look forward to when the poverty level can be outgrown.
