Orange is on a distinguished road
Default steves Win Win situations, i dont see how i can make it work

Steve says you should look for a win win situation and not settle for anything else.
Well. the course im doign in collage is good but i hate its times and i cant see myself being great friends with any of the people in it.
I would much prefer to do another course with my girlfriend in. and see her all the time.
But the other course doesnt suit me quite as well.
It seems like a compromise either way..

Well I would go for the reason why you're taking the class... not necessarly the people that are in it. If you're taking the class for your major or something you're interested in I would rather take that than picking a class because of friends or (girlfriend). If your looking for friends I'd suggest joining a club or group your interested in..or better yet a social organization.

Secondly you might be misinterpreting what steve's trying to say. I'd just look the problem objectively and not try to distort it with beliefs.

Generally a Win-Win requires getting a good, higher-level view of the situation. And since it requires tailoring to your personal needs and values, it's often nigh-impossible for someone else to give you a 'prefab' answer.

Some questions that may help:
* Why do you want to spend all your time with your girlfriend (especially in class when your attention is presumably elsewhere)?
* Why don't you think you'll be great friends with any of the people in class #1?
* Is being friends with people the reason that you're going to class?
* Are you limited to doing one class?
* How do these choices affect you in the long-term? In the short term?
* Are you looking at your options as chores or as resources?

You don't want a compromise - a compromise means being half-happy. You want to look at your needs and values at a higher and higher level until you can find (or create) an approach that meets all of them. Then drill back down into the detail.

My guess is that comparing course A vs course B is looking at the issue far too closely and that you'd resolve it better by looking at the larger picture.
