I should mention that I was quite surprised/impressed when Reid Tracy (President of Hay House) said yes to this idea when I suggested it. I had to ask several times in different ways just to be sure -- "You know this will mean sending out hundreds of extra review copies if I announce this on my blog... possibly more than a thousand? Are you sure you're okay with that?"

His response was basically, "The more, the merrier." This made me really glad I went with Hay House (I turned down offers from three other publishers first). They're one of the few publishers that actually understands blogging and the Internet. I'm pretty sure they've never done anything like this before, so it's refreshing to work with people who are open-minded and creative instead of rigid and inflexible.

This is the complete opposite of what I experienced working with game publishers during the 90's.

I've already submitted my application saving 20 bucks is not the matter, the cool thing is enjoying this book as soon as possible and be one of the first to review it

Also I think quality reviews will help Steve much more than a single sale, because they can translate into many more sales along the road. I expect a deluge of e-ink talking about this book quite soon.

So, note to self: do a similar thing when I publish my first ebook.

I really like your main motivation for distributing this book to the public. And even though it's expected that it will be a great read, the impact it will have is probably already been underestimated by far.

It's good to know of how conscious the people of Hay House are in their business dealings as well.

I just noticed that the page count went from 256 to 288 on the Amazon.com page...

I have also requested a review-copy just now, although I pre-ordered the book at Amazon in July.

I can't wait to hold it in my hands and be the first to publish a review in German! For a moment I even considered to go to the Hay House 'I Can Do It' conference in Tampa/Florida in early October where Steve will speak about the book and the first copies will be for sale apparently ... but at the moment I don't want to leave Austria.

Someone at Hay House must have updated this. 288 is the accurate number because it includes the introduction.

More than 200 review copies have been requested so far and still climbing.

About 1 in 8 people forgot to provide their mailing address. This isn't an ebook, so the publisher needs a physical address to mail it.

I just sent Steve a message asking for the review copy. I have already purchased a copy from Amazon to be delivered after the official release and anticipate buying a few more to pass around.

I do not post new articles frequently on my blog which is in the signature line of my post but do have a following who download my audios and an extensive email list.

I totally agree, that was the same reason I was interested. I don't think there is any point in reading a 300 page book and writing a review if you aren't actually excited about it!

My blog's Alexa ranking is on the up but is still over 3,000,000 and haven't had a comment on a post for three months so I fail the popularity test I'm afraid. Still, I had my best ever monthly stats in August when I had 2,292 hits. Not quite in SP's league unfortunately!

What I thought was interesting was where I'm getting visitors from. For some reason I seem to be more popular in Australia and the US than in my own country.
