I listened to the podcast in which Steve talked about the law of attraction and why he belives in it. What i could see the argument was something like this: 1. Solipsism is true and the only thing we can be sure about from experience. 2. This proves our reality is subjective. 3. Therefore, we can effect it with our minds, and that is how our subjective reality effects the apperent "outside" reality. However, i read that Steve considers this a "low stage" teaching. Source: Integral Options Cafe: Steve Pavlina Responds to Integral Criticism Would the same argument be true even within the highest stage teaching? I was also thinking that from experience i found solipsism to be false. I first experienced that my own subjective experience of beingness was the only thing i can be sure of. But this expanded and i felt that that MY experience of being and the experience of being of everyone else is the exactly same. There is only ONE beingness. Non-duality. My experience of "being" is the same as Steves experience of "being" (and everyone else). So we all experience the same subjective reality. It's just the contents in it that's different. How would this expanded experience of subjective reality correspond to the law of attraction? |

This is a nice post over on kentonwhitman.com (focus is 'non-duality'). kentonwhitman.com Zen-Inspired Self Development About half way down there is a section titled: 'How Does I-M Work with Non-Dualism'. Probably wont answer your question but an interesting discussion none the less. |

Consciousness exists. Presumably, it also has effects. Some of these effects can be (currently) mysterious and non-local without violating physics. I think that means it's a priori plausible for I-M to be compatible with a monist world. |
