Default thoughts on Podcast 13: Beyond Religion

Rather than religion (or belief systems in general) being ordinary software, it functions more like an operating system, with the programs one can run depending on which OS a person is using. Most computers are set up to run only one OS, though it’s possible to run several, with each one having its own strengths and weaknesses. Properly equipped, one can switch to whichever OS will best run the desired program or activity. The homosexuality program may crash or be labeled a malfunction under the Christianity OS, while it may do just fine under Atheism or New Age. A growing number of people program their own OS, just as many do with their own variants of Linux, continually adapting it as they wish to try new things, improving it to fit their chosen reality.
