I found this site and forum after hearing an interview with Steve and was very impressed by the person he is(you are). I have a few questions for you, Steve if you don't mind, regarding your interview. You spoke of writing about your failures... However I have been told by several not to write on bad days or be negative in anyway. How do you stay positive and still write about your failures or what i call learning experiences? One thing you seem to emphasize is how you don't like to write or give advice from a higher place? I have trouble with this one, how are you able to make sure you do not sound as if you are higher while you are giving advice? I can't seem to get this down, although I feel as if I would never be higher than anyone else, when I do have something to offer, it seems as if I come across as better or higher. Which is not my intention at all and it is now how I feel at all. I just feel so passionate about whatever idea or perception I have gained. For someone like myself that has a passion and lives for their passion daily but does not have great communication skills and finds it hard to articulate what they are trying to say, do you have a course/workshop/article/program or anything else you recommend? I have a lot of passion and information I would love to share and my heart is in helping others? But quite frankly my communication skills suck. I am open to all suggestions for myself and others who may have the same concern. Much respect, Tiffany |

How do you write about problems without feeling negative emotion? Awareness. Eckhart Tolle will help with that. How do you get better communication skills? Repping Toastmasters ("repping" in terms of "repetition"... doing it over, and over, one rep after another). Before that, find some local clubs, visit them all (or those that resonate), and then join one and start speaking. I'm member of two Toastmasters clubs--President of one, Secretary of another... within 5 months of joining! You could say that I'm doing some supersets. If it's writing you want to improve... write. I have a surprisingly low amount of English education, but my writing ability--or rather, the mindset I developed through writing, and the habits and good practice that support it--make me one of the best writers wherever I go. It's not that I have significant technical ability; rather, I cut away what isn't important and reflect clarity of thinking and use writing as an effective vehicle for my talent themes. | |
