Default Some questions for Mr. Pavlina

Dear Mr. Pavlina,

I just read that you have an 8 yr old daughter; does she read your blog frequently? Also does her friends know that her dad is the owner of one of the most popular blogs?

Mrs. Pavlina here.

We have a son and daughter. Our daughter is becoming good at reading but she doesn't really read our blogs. she likes Junie B books and other age-appropriate books. Sometimes she will read over my shoulder whatever I'm reading on the internet. She likes to send instant messages to Steve from my computer and send him cute smilies.

I think she knows that we have blogs but doesn't know what one is per se. She knows her mom talks to dead people for a living and she thinks her dad is the smartest guy in the world because he runs a site for "smart people." This is what she tells the kids and teachers at school, "My daddy is the smartest guy in the world and my mom talks to dead people." We've had a few calls.... (j/k)

Thanks for filling us in, Erin! She sends smilies? That's so adorable.

I wonder how they react when she says her mommy talks to dead people.

The kids assume Erin works in a cemetery.

HAHAHA awesome.

I think I'm going to try to turn my mother onto reading this blog on a regular basis. That would be amazing, not the feat, but her reading it would just be quite incredible!

I didn't know what Junie B was, so I did a google search.

Oh. My. God:
Junie B. Jones

Can't really describe that video.
Reminds me a bit of the Marc Brown books, and if it gets the kids to read... well...
