Default Mistakes made by the newly self-employeed

Hello,

As someone who recently began my own motivational speain business in 2007 I can relate to all the points listed- esp. selling to eveyrone. I began by saying I could speak to everyone all audiences. I reaized that I can't and I shouldn't waste mine or their time. I woud also add another sugestions to avoid mistakes. It is never to early to start thning about ancillary business that complemnet what you are doing. There is a steep learning curve and turning a profit takes time. I recently learned more about individual business and life coaching and have had some success but wish I had begun earlier. I have also explored doing contract facilitation to help generate income as I build my business. At the sametime it can't hurt to have more opportunities to be in front of an audience- I wish I had started earlier.

Good luck,
Bill
