Or you could just focus your thoughts on what you want and go out and create it. It's a lot more fun that way. That seems a better approach than staring at your navel until it proves its existence.

Life acquires meaning when we face conflict... |

| Are you sure your above statement is universally true? I suspect there are some people somewhere who do believe the earth is flat or would if the idea that the world had a shape came to their minds. I simply do not know if there is a better way to describe shape than what I currently believe but I suspect it does not adequately and fully describe the properties of the world. I believe there are some things about the subject currently being discussed which are not readily apparent to me. Perhaps you would agree that some of your beliefs are not correct or that they are incomplete. Perhaps some of the things you and I dismiss as untrue are actually true. Thanks for the thought provoking beliefs which you have shared here! |

I had another "astral" experience two afternoons ago. I went in, overcame the fear, felt my body vibrating, then asked for healing (I have a medical condition). Anyway, I'm still not sure what astral projection is. I've never tried to do it, but it happens to me from time to time. I've tried to explain the sensation to people in the past, but they just think I'm describing a bad dream. Its clearly different. But, I've never believed in this kind of thing before, so I usually just put it off as a weird mind-state. Well, with a more open mind, I'd like to learn what to do when I'm in that state. Normally I try to wake up to get out of it because of the fear. This last time I asked for healing because it was the first thing that popped in my mind and I thought I would take advantage of it. Anyway, any tips from others that go to this place on what they do when they are there would be greatly appreciated. I don't really care for tips on how to get there. If it happens, it happens. I'd also like the counter view on this. Is there a scientific name for this phenomenon? How does main-stream science describe it? Thanks for any insight... |

If I had a psychic reading that was unbelievably accurate and couldn't be written off as chance, then yes, I'd accept it no matter what scientists say. And maybe I'd be wrong, but that's OK. I'm open to the possibility of psychic phenomena even though I've never met anyone who claimed to be psychic. Come to think of it, I've never met any of these scientists either. How do we know they exist? On the other hand, I don't believe that David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear (from our vision, yes; from its original location, no). You could show me all the evidence in the world, and I'd keep saying it was a trick. I can't say for sure that I'd never believe it, but it would take something like jacking out of the Matrix to convince me. Why the difference? I don't know, one seems believable and one doesn't. |

On another note have any you watched illusionist Derren Brown's 8 part series on YouTube - Derren Brown The so called Messiah 1 of 8 I would highly recommend watching it. Derren goes about trying to convince quite well repsected people who promote the parnormal world. Using his skills in magic, illision, pyscology, suggestion and misdirection he takes the viewer on an interesting journey. I wish understood how he makes everything so believable, especially the drawing one at the beginning at the psychic reading towards the end.
