| Hey guys, I was hoping that you could clear things up about being a lightworker vs. a darkworker. Does a darkworker need to eat meat to be considered a dark worker? Can a person who exercises, eats healthy, eats no meat, meditates, thinks positively, etc. still be a darkworker? (And vice-versa for a lightworker?) Also, is a person necessarily in a "lower state of consciousness" just because he / she is a darkworker and in a higher state of awareness if he/she is a lightworker? Don't you think being a lightworker would make life much easier than a darkworker? Also, Steve mentioned that Darkworkers make decisions and act out of "fear." If a person chooses to become a Darkworker, how do they attempt to induce a state of fear? Can darkworkers develop deep, long-lasting friendships? Based on what I've read, I think it is necessary to have a good balance between the two. I think that by choosing to have a good balance, you still can achieve a lot! P.S. A side-note for Steve, I think it'd be cool to write about how to become a successful lightworker / darkworker. I think this concept is very interesting and would really enjoy reading more of your content about it. (Unless you already have it and I didn't do enough digging)... |

| I think the whole darkworker/lightworker mentality is just an easy way to label other people as better or worse. I don't like it because it immediately gives a positive or negative impression of a person before you even know them. Plus others use them as a badge of kinds, being able to identify themselves with a particular stance and enhancing their ego through it. Bleck, I say! Bleck. As for how I understand it, Darkworkers are takers and Lightworkers are givers. Darkworkers focus on what's best for them, and what's best to those around him who are important to him. They focus their energy on getting more and having more, both as a way to protect themselves and to enjoy themselves. It can primarily be fear based, but as you go up the awareness scale the fear attachment lessens and the darkworker focusses more on productivity, developing assets, including themselves, and bringing more into their lives. Through bring more into their lives their circle of what's important will expand. They may join community groups in order to advance their own reputation, and through the group give much more because they are more productive and more effective, thus doing more good than those that can't contribute enough. Of course they get their own fair share of recognition for all of it, because if they didn't get recognition they wouldn't be in it. Even higher still they might start to focus wider on national or wordly issues, spreading their influence wider, and as they do they realise how more things interconnect. If they take this high enough, they realise that we aren't intependent, and that the world works through cooperation. Suddenly the darkworker contributes to the world, seeing the whole world as important. He realises he's just a small part of a larger whole and he puts his significant resources towards helping more people. Some of the more famous business men, like the Media moguls, are darkworkers. While they are out for personal gain, through their actions they provide employment for thousands, create opportunities for people to do what they want, and improve the standard of living and economy across the country. Lightworkers focus on what's best for other people. They are caring and compassionate and always have other people's interest at heart. They main focus is helping other people and being able to expand their own ability to help others as well. Not all lightworkers are high in awareness either. Some might do it with fear out of what people will think of them, or they might feel they have to attone for some awful act and thus help others out of shame. As they rise through awareness though they find out how giving is a natural expression for them, and they stop feeling guilty, shameful or scared about their desire to help others. Soon they realise that with more courage they can help more people, and that personal effectiveness and raising one's own resources can help many more people. As they extend their help out, so does their influence grow and they can help more people. Often they find opportunities for helping people and resources just arrive spontaneously to assist them, and sometimes they have to work on gaining the resources. At the highest level the lightworker realises that helping people is a noble cause that is more effective with strength so building up personal assets to help others is a noble cause as well. As they are just important to the system as everyone else is, they stop putting themselves second and start putting themselves equal. A high awareness lightworker is very proactive, efficient and successful. A good example would be Oprah. While she is a very high profile talk show host, she's very giving, but she also focusses on herself enough to make a bigger difference in the future. Even now her power still grows and she's making even bigger differences in the world as time goes on. The evil/good of the darkworker/lightworker theory actually comes from the darkworker/lightworker syndrome. They both have self destructive tendancies that need to be overcome when following each path. For the Darkworker it's burning bridges, cutting corners and skipping required work which eventually leads to long term weakness. They stab others in the back, lie, cheat and steal just to have it come back to them later even worse. They go for a quick small game but end up taking a long term great loss. A wise darkworker realises the importance of good principles such as integrity and responsibility as the foundation of personal power and doesn't make the same mistakes. For the Lightworker, they have a tendency to be too giving. They look over managing their own lives, and they don't increase their own assets in the long term. They stay at the same level of giving for years, and this can often burn them out. Even worse is that some give away their production assets as well, they'll give away more than they can afford and can produce less in the long run. Their capacity goes down and they can't give as much as they used to and sometimes these people end up being those that need help themselves. The wise Lightworker knows that through strength comes power, the power to give to others. They focus on increasing personal assets as well as giving to those. When this happens the lightworker often finds the universe helps by providing even more assets with which to give. It becomes a positive cycle that really makes a difference to the world. This is how I see the two polarities working. I hope it makes sense. |

Here's what Steve says about levels of consciousness and about balance: Polarization

Polarizing as either Lightworker or Darkworker is a choice. Most people don't make that choice.

Yeah, I think most people who life from fear are definately not polarised. It's as you start to build courage, integrity and creating your life when it becomes useful. Do you help others, or help yourself? As you grow though and rise in awareness, the lightworker and darkworker sides start to converge, where both of them recognise the wholeness of the universe and realise that self is just as important as the world and visa versa. Also both lightworkers and darkworkers can be at different levels of enlightenment, and they both have a different outlook and impact. It definately doesn't mean that lightworkers are inherently better or worse than darkworkers. The difference is their views, and through extension their actions. |

| I don't think a "Darkworker" has to operate from a place of fear. A "Lightworker" could operate from a state of fear for another's sake for example. And a darkworker could operate (and primarily do) out of a sense of love for self. However, in that love for self, they might well induce a state of fear in others for various purposes, for purposes of control and manipulation. It is true that those who serve self in the extreme fear the loss of identity, and accessories to identity (material posessions). I would argue that the whole gamut of emotions rangeing from fear to love operate in both polarities of consciousness. At least, in this world, that is. The difference lies primarily in the direction they channel those energies. One loves self, the other loves others. And then there are the unpolarized who love a little of this, and a little of that. |

| I really appreciate your explanation. I am just confused why a person cannot operate from both a darkworker & lightworker state. Love yourself a lot and love others.... I was also wondering what type of karma each (Lt. / Dk.) generates... I know Steve talked about each one, but I didn't happen to understand his explanation. Quote:

| I'm not willing to categorize Warren Buffet as a darkworker. However, generically, if a darkworker acquires a lot of wealth then decides to give it away, it doesn't really make them a "lightworker". If they create a foundation, then threaten to remove funding from any of their benefactors if the collaborate with another entity that's not a benefactor because they want to own the rights to discovery, then sure they're doing good, but the motive is still fear-based. Does that make sense? Also, just because people make fear or love based decisions doesn't make them light or dark workers. What polarizes someone, is making conscious decisions with a particular side. So a budding lightworker might make a fear-based decision to stay in a dark worker environment and consciously work on transforming the fear. However, there are many people who stay in jobs they hate for the money and don't know why. They might say it's for the money, but press them and they won't admit that they are really afraid of not having it. They'll say something like, "Everyone needs money to live." Hope that helps:-)
