PDSP book update Today I received Hay House's book release catalog for Q4 2008. They have Personal Development for Smart People listed for an October 2008 release (as expected). It has a list price of USD $24.95 (hardcover). This price is typical for a hardcover self-help book. If/when a paperback version is released depends on how well the hardcover version sells. They show an initial print run of 30,000 copies, which seems comparable to other books in their catalog. So far everything has gone very smoothly with Hay House. I'll be sending them a new draft of the book this coming week based on their initial review. |

Ohh good point Rose, come on Steve spill it :D |
Cool, I was already considering hitting the "Donate" button, so instead I'll wait for this book to be out and purchase it. |
The original cover you all saw when Steve posted it. At least, that's the cover they are showing in the catalog. Steve and the publisher both like the cover so they're going with it. |

Of course, I'll buy the book, regardless of what it looks like... |
Cool, it's available for pre-order on Amazon now. Amazon.com: Personal Development for Smart People: The Conscious Pursuit of Personal Growth: Steve Pavlina: Books |

P.S. There appears to be a 5% off deal if you order now. Steve, will the book be available through regular bookshops in Australia as well as Amazon? I prefer to support the local booksellers if I can. |
I don't know the distribution details. Those probably haven't been worked out yet, since the book is still six months from release. I suspect it will be widely distributed in the USA to start, but beyond that I can't say. Hay House has worldwide rights to the book, so it could certainly turn up in other countries. Some of that may be worked out after the USA launch though, especially for translations. |
Well, I really like the description of the book from the amazon.com, so kudos to whoever wrote that. |
