Steve, When you first started learning Photoreading how did you find getting into the Photofocus state. Could you see the blip page immediately or did it take time? Thanks in advance. |

It was a year and a half ago that I first went through the course, so I don't remember every detail of my first experience, but I do remember it was easy to get into that state because the CDs talk you through the process step by step. All I did was follow along.

My husband got the photo reading package many months ago, worked diligently at being able to see the blip page, and finally learned how to see it somewhat recently. Playing with magic eye 3-D photos helped him a lot. I have done no work toward photo reading, yet I can see the blip page easily and immediately. I think it differs from person to person.

I attended a PhotoReading seminar in Dallas last weekend, and something I had been curious about was affirmed for me -- I can totally photofocus with my glasses off. When I'm running in the gym, I just take my glasses off and get into state to photoread materials. I don't bother with a blip page or trying to look past the book, because my conscious mind can't see the words with my glasses off anyway. I just relax my eyes and my whole face, as long as I can't actually SEE what's going on, and flip. The seminar impressed upon me that mostly, we just want to take our conscious mind out of the equation for that step, to avoid it tripping us up. My other-than-conscious mind can absorb the pages without interruption (and it doesn't need my glasses to do it). I don't know if this jives with other PhotoReading materials and explanations, but it's sure as hell working for me. ^_^ |

Did photoreading actually work for you, as far as comprehension? I do most of the photoreading process naturally, previewing, purpose, etc., but I didn't really believe in the photoreading step. It didn't work too well for me.
