Hello all, Hopefully someone can help me. I'm trying to find an article I read on Steve Pavlina's website which talked about how the things we find annoying in others are actually the things which we find annoying in ourselves. One of the examples he used was that he found Erin's lack of organisation annoying so Steve decided to become even more organised and then as a result of that Erin actually became more organised. Tried Google, tried my own bookmarks but can't find it! Hopefully one of you guys knows which article I'm talking about. Thanks in advance, Mark

It's funny to re-read that. When it was first posted, I was a bit skeptical of the idea that the annoyances we find in others are rooted in the annoyances we find in ourselves. But now as I read it again, I think there's a lot of truth to it. Not too long ago I had a few weeks of very little sleep. I became grumpy and found lots of people annoying. I noticed that those annoyances were really rooted in myself. Lack of sleep really magnified the effect.

It's certainly one of the articles that has made me think more...along with the idea (I forget if this is Steve Pavlina or NLP) that you chose your emotional response to things that happen. It certainly doesn't feel like that at times. Thanks for the link though, that was indeed the article!
