I recently joined the Million Dollar Experiment. And now... many people are getting $600 checks in the mail (the gov check from uncle sam). Does this count as this experiment manifesting? Some would say that the government is taking the tax dollars from others and redistributing it. (taking it from here and giving it to there) But as Steve has discussed before, abundance is infinite, and rooting your mind in scarcity thinking (that there is scarcity of $$$) is not a good way to receive. There is always more wealth to be had. So... does this count as the Million Dollar Experiment manifesting? What does everyone else here think? |

| In my opinion, yes this does count as manifesting money. I would say that there is some action required on the part of the person receiving the money as well since as I understand the rebate, one must have filed a tax return in order to get the refund.

From what I understand, these checks are actually a rebate. So you will have $600 less on your tax return. The government is giving you your own money earlier than it otherwise would have. This is not extra money! I think the government (those wily politicians) have not explained this to people. You may have budgeted getting this money anyways, just not in this timeframe.

Can someone link to me where it states this is going to be a rebate. I've been told by my tax accountant that this is an additional tax break, on top of your normal tax return.

| Information on Stimulus Payments This explains it pretty well I think (it's from the IRS website). I do know that it won't be taxed as income, but I guess they are taking it out of taxes paid in? And that's why it's considered a rebate? Because people who have no tax liabilty, but made at least $3000.00 can get a $300 rebate. I really don't understand it at all except that it will be money I wouldn't otherwise have had which I have to pay no additional taxes on. Right? The IRS will answer your questions on that sight... Q. Will the payment I receive in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe for 2008? A. No, the stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return. |

well, if we quibble with the details, I guess the tax stimulus/rebate/whatever is not part of the 1mil dollar experiment. Consider the intention: money will come to me. If the money arrived because it's your birthday and your mom sent money, does that mean your intention didn't manifest because you she always sends you money on your birthday? If a friend owed you money for years, finally decided to pay up, does that mean your intention did not manifest? The way I understand it, if I get money that I was not expecting when I held the intention, I would just thank the universe and say it worked. What does everyone else think? |
