The two links at the start of the article both go to the same post - 30 Days Raw. So it sounds like you're planning on keeping (mostly) raw for a while longer. Is that just till your groceries run out or are you just going to see what appeals to you? |

I've enjoyed reading about your experiences Steve. Like other readers, I've found myself increasing my fruit and vegetable intake without effort and to great effect as I've followed your journey. While I'm not even trying to go raw, I've been making lots of green smoothies and generally snacking on fruit. I found your advice to eat fruit before fat to be good advice for my body. I generally don't eat much non-fruit until the early afternoon, and my mornings are more energized now than ever. I wish all beneficial changes could happen this quickly and easily! Thanks for making your trial public!

It's annoying that the skin started healing the moment you put cooked food in your mouth. I can't help but wonder if it would have healed if you'd stayed on raw a few days longer... Other than that I found it all to be a great experiment.

Rohini, Calcium is one of the easiest minerals to get from vegetables. There's lots of it in kale and broccoli, for instance. Find some charts that list nutrients in fruits and vegetables, and you can look up the amounts in the fruits and veggies that you like. However, you may also not need as much calcium as you think you do. People who eat the Standard American Diet may need more calcium because excessive protein can leach calcium from your bones. | I'm guessing (further experimentation would be required for proof) that it's due to the increased fat intake rather than being cooked. Steve could quite possibly have achieved the same thing eating raw via avocados, nuts, ground linseeds (great for Omega 3) etc.
