Thumbs up

If you see a big green arrow outside the windows, don't worry - it's just me using Google Maps to do some wishful thinking from my cubicle here in Denmark ;-) Great idea - wish you all an exciting meeting.

I'd say it went very well. About 40-50 people showed up. We had a lot more RSVPs than that, but that was before we announced it would be in the morning instead of the afternoon. People started trickling in right at 9:30. Everyone mingled from 9:30 to 11:15, and Erin and I were able to talk to most people one-on-one and in small groups during that time. Then Erin and I did about 20 minutes of Q&A at the end.

This was a very nice group size for the room. It would have been a lot more challenging with 80-100 people.

I'll probably do a blog entry with photos next week (after we get back to Vegas). One person also took some video, so maybe he'll post it on YouTube.

Erin and I had an awesome time in NYC. For me the highlight was spending time with local friends here and getting to see the city through their eyes -- and of course this morning's meet-up. I also found it fun to figure out the subways, which we probably rode about 20 times.

Steve and Erin,

Thanks again for hosting this morning's meetup. It was great to meet the both of you and have some time to chat, and also to ask some more "formal" questions that had been on my mind recently during the Q&A. You definitely facilitated some kick-ass synergy this morning.

Speaking of which...I also really enjoyed getting to know many of the other people who were there - it was quite a powerful experience to be in alignment with so many people at once! Of course everyone had their own reasons for being there, but it also felt, to me, like a common thread made it very easy to just talk, and not just to talk about *anything*, but to discuss in earnest our dreams, desires, and where we were headed in life.

Thanks to all of you who shared a bit of yourselves with me today, and who made the 16 hours of bus travel worth it. Totally worth it.

Yep, I'm home again. What a whirlwind. Safe and fun travels to you all!

Thanks Steve & Erin,

It was so great to be at the meet-up. I had to meet my mom and kids in mid-town so had to miss the Q&A but spent a lot of time there and it was great to meet so many interesting people.

Steve -- I really appreciated you answering my questions about "negative comments" about postings -- it really did help. I have been struggling with that one since I felt obligated somehow to answer all comments and emails. With my blog being about the mind/body connection I will naturally find lots of skeptics. All I can do is share my story honestly telling how I healed and be thankful for the people that write and tell me how grateful they are. And "let go" of the ones that have negative things to say. It's not my job to convince -- just to be as honest as possible and write about what is important and makes a difference in my life.

I am very grateful I was able to make the meet-up -- thanks again for finding a place to host.

I had an awesome time, thanks for that meet-up! It was interesting being a young dude amongst many people who wished they'd found Pavlina's stuff (or wished it existed) when they were my age. Good QA session. Afterwards some of us met up and went to sushi. Other dudes went to bagel places nearby.

Gotta love Broadway.

I'll get that video up when I figure out how the CD works.

Default NYC Meetup

Erin and Steve,
Thank you so much for arranging the meetup. It was a wonderful experience. Finally I get to meet (and take pictures) with the person who has been guiding me the past few months.
It was a very interesting to meet with like minded people. I also learnt a lot speaking with others who share similar goals and aspirations.

Regards
-Venu
