Hi All,

I have read Steve's article on how to make money from a blog and how to build a high traffic website. What I would like to know is where you would even begin. Do you just build your own website? And if so, where is the best place to go for that?

Buy a domain name at godaddy.
Buy a typepad subscription to setup your blog. This is your online blog software.
Point the domain name that is at godaddy to your blog url.

The first question you want to ask yourself is why do you want a website? What purpose will it serve? How will it help you, or others? What do you plan to have on it?

It's not that difficult to set up a blog. But, I think that you really want to offer something, rather than just be in it for the money.

Yup, setting up a blog takes about 4 hours. Anyone can do it. If you host it on WordPress.com, it takes only a few minutes.

However, that means nothing. The work part is writing the articles and building traffic to the site. Steve's articles are just a very very very basic primer on it, but to really be successful you're going to have to devote a lot of time on research, writing, marketing, self development, etc.

It's just like starting any other business. It's not a "hobby" that you do for 15 minutes a month and make a million dollars from. It's a business. It can be a fun and rewarding business, but it still needs to be worked as a business.
