I think the reason people idolize people is because it makes them somehow 'other'. The more 'otherness' they have, the less responsibility you have to compete with them. A person could say, "Steve quit his job and writes for a living," or "Steve maintains a healthy weight" and the response would likely be, "Well, Steve is, like, God or something." For that matter, Steve was also a felon who is probably banned from Wal-Mart. I don't think he changed by idolizing someone else.

I think he's banned from JC Penny and Target, but not Wal-mart. Just for the record. We are all one. When you see someone else that you admire take some credit for it. "He's the part of me that is a master at personal development. I wonder how much of that energy I can channel into myself." Likewise we also have to take "credit" for the perceived dregs of society, "That guy is the part of me who is addicted to drugs. How can I push addiction out of my energy?" It's like that guy in Hawaii who heals people by recognizing the illness in himself and healing that part of himself. What you see around you is a reflection. What you notice in others is just a reflection of a part of yourself. Own it and change it if you don't like what you see. |

If you can associate with the likes of Steve, Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tony Robbins et all ...and emulate them, you get to acquire some their mindset and thus take a quantum leap forward in your personal growth and evolution... . | |

You guys are funny, I especially love Erin's witty responses. God is much more than our minds could ever comprehend... but Steve is not, Steve is a human being, a very intellegent and helpful human being, but human. We all have the same capacity to move foreward and learn better ways of making progress in our lives, but the question is will we? |

| Frankderived “You are right, I am God and perhaps your God. All reasons make me your god. You must realize that I am God.” I walk knowing and thinking that I am god. Ok but so what?. How does that give meaning to your reality?. As far as I know you are in charge of this current reality of yours. Why even bother coming in to your reality?, The fact of the matter is that I am already in and the battle has started. You might want to get rid of me in your reality but it is impossible. Since I am god it is impossible. Why have I decided to be god is your question right now? No time(if it might exist) for questioning the almighty. For now let me just be (happy) that I penetrated your firewall. Where is the aaajaa effect?, well you see most of you wanted to construct some reality apart from me or even be part of me but as I mention to you before I live in your reality. I have names and I constituted one of your most profound thought. In other words I am you God. |

Hi, I'm new in this forum and I've just join today. I have been reading steve articles for the past two month now and I'm really impress with his vast knowledge in personal development. But the one I enjoyed reading is his " 10 reason you should never get a job" especially the line " The next time someone says to you, “Get a job,” I suggest you reply as Curly did: ”No, please… not that! Anything but that!” Then poke him right in the eyes. For years I'm trying to quit my job but fear prevent me, fear of not earning enough income to support my family if I quit. Warm regards to everyone. CSimon |

Steve once had a showdown with Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris round-house kicked him in the head. Steve survived, smiled and ran home. Shortly after, he wrote a series of articles on Subjective Reality that explain how Steve actually IS Chuck Norris. That is the only way one could survive a Chuck Norris Roundhouse. |
