| Hi all, I would like to know if all of this has been worth it for you? Background: I feel like I had just recently made a big "leap" as far as my awareness and understanding is concerned in the spiritual sense, and I would like to know how that translates into my "physical" life. I believe your own experiences and examples can help me to see where I may fit in in all of this. So please, no answers such as, "It is worth it as long as you think it is worth it." If anything, this will be a fun exercise to see how far you have advanced and within what time frame. All responses welcomed and greatly appreciated. *Mods: sorry if this topic should be in another forum*

Now, if you are talking about manifesting (LoA) in concert with taking physical actions (starting a business... selling stuff etc)... that another matter... Now you will find some people who will tell you that you can "create" out of thin air... simply put out your thoughts in the universe and you will be rewarded with gold and riches... and to support that theory, they'll come up with quantum physic and assorted mumbo-jumbo... now, all those theory sound good on paper... but if you ask those prophets what they were able to acquire physically through their wonderful recipe... you will hear a deafening silence... You want stuff... you manifest it and you work for it and you'll get it... period... And if you want to know what I got out of "my" recipe... I'll be glad to tell you... . |

| Here's what I think is one of the best possible examples... I've been very spiritual since I started high-school, and in the 5 1/2 years since I started my journey, the following have happened: - I've become a truly interesting person - I have found the self-worth to make a relationship happen - I have found the patience to begin mastering astrology (no simple task) - I have learned how to laugh in the face of depression - I have lost my fear of death (now I know what the afterlife is like) - I have learned just how talented I am (I'm a very powerful psychic) - I found the most incredible love-at-first-sight human being I've ever known only yesterday, and found the courage to really break up for good with the dysfunctional relationship I was in without being emotional while still being gentle and firm. All of these would never have happened if I hadn't given in to curiosity and begun looking into the occult (Satanist junk as a start - the dark aspects bore me). Keep on your path, and keep on it fully. The more torturous the wait, the more satisfying the reward, whatever it may be. The only thing holding you back is your fear of letting go of your shackles. Nobody currently alive can say that they have mastered spirituality. Such people would shake the world with enough profundity to change it in minutes in this day and age. That, to me, is the ultimate goal and reward in its own right. ~ David

| Haha, actually a lot of the spiritual breakthroughs I've had have brought me farther away from being successful in everyday life, not closer. The more aware I become, the more I realize that nothing ultimately matters and the less I have the urge to chase girls or make money. Since it seems like you have had a lot of success, I'm curious as to what your spiritual regimen is. Meditation? Reading? Erock

| The regimen is simple: Basic spiritual development first: 1: Develop intuition Then training yourself in experimenting with it: 2: Follow intuition And finally understanding the usefulness of what you've discovered: 3: Trust intuition Law of Attraction now... 4: Push the limits set by your intuition And finally experimenting with the new reality you've created: 5: Trust yourself to successfully reach the new limits of your intuition I am currently at level 4, only barely getting to level 5. Good luck. ~ David

| Thanks for your responses. Shamou, Yes I would love to know what you "got from your recipe." Please tell. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement: " You want stuff... you manifest it and you work for it and you'll get it... period." XeutonMojukai, thanks for your honest answer. Your life changes are inspiring to me. Yes, I will keep on my path. I know what you mean when you say: "The only thing holding you back is your fear of letting go of your shackles." Love that quote. Erock, love your name. Do you happen to be a bboy? I think you are very close to "uncovering" the thing you seek when you say "The more aware I become, the more I realize that nothing ultimately matters " I felt the same way once. Not sure if your question was directed at me or not?

| My life has changed dramatically since choosing to investigate and discover my Spirituality as a youth. I am 51 and continue to discover, and to apply what I find, to enjoying and experiencing creativity. If you are interested the best way I can demonstrate it to you is; Have a look at my posts in the Character and Contribution forum in the Your Most Unforgettable Character… thread (p2 of the forum), and in the same forum, the Being rich is a state of mind… How do you get it? thread (p1 of the forum). Look in the Personal Effectiveness forum in the Do you live in a world of scarcity or a sea of abundance…??? thread (p4 of the forum) For a pictoral example go to Fun and Recreation forum in the 'Man, that's sooo creative!' thread (p2 of the forum) and the Post your picture! thread (p1 of the same forum, (p4 of thread) and the Spirituality, Consciousness, & Awareness forum in the The words LOVE, Angel & Devil and their effect on water thread (p2 of the forum). |

Second... it has given me twenty four years of marital bliss... and emotional contentment... Third... I am financially secure... would not have to work another day in my life if I wanted too... I live in the best neighborhood surrounded by the best possible class of people... and I have all the trappings and toys of affluence that I ever wanted... except for a red Ferrari and a white Corvette... and the reason that I don't have those is that I can't picture an old fart like me driving one of those... My son and my daughter-in-law are Harvard graduate... and my wife, which is much younger than I, is financially set for life... Now, I am not saying all that to brag... but to be a testimonial demonstrating that you can have the things that you want if you will follow these basic rules... 1. Have confidence in yourself... 2. Don't ever quit... no matter what... 3. Immerse yourself in positive inputs such as books, tapes, seminars etc... 4. State clearly what you want and be confident that if you are willing to put in the necessary efforts... the universe will give it to you... I know that my recipe works... because I walked the walk... before giving the talk... . |

| This is a great question. I've also been reflecting on changes since my awakening. My reflection was initially brought on by my disappointment at not having achieved all of my goals as of late. As I was thinking about what I had achieved, though, I was motivated at the progress I'd made. Over the last two years I have become a better person. I don't loose my temper anymore. I do a much better job of viewing issues through alternate perspectives. I'm happier and I laugh more. I'm healthier. I'm much more confident. I love better. My stress has gone down. I've repaired relationships with family. I could list a dozen other small things that really add up, but it all boils down to me being a more calm, accepting and loving human being. Don't get me wrong- I've got a ton of things that I know I need work on. The amazing thing is that I now feel like I'm equipped to handle these other issues. I know what I need to do. My problem is taking the initiative to do it. Obviously the past two years have shown me that I'm able to accomplish the things I set my mind to. I guess I have to make the conscious choice to improve in other areas, too. |

Seems to me that in the past two years you have been gravitating into that person... so, soon the actions should follow... which will cumulate into the realization of your objectives and dreams... So... keep on going... keep on growing... and, you'll get there... Success is not all that easy to acquire... that's why only the hard working few enjoy it... Best of luck to you... . |

Shamou, thank you for your "recipe." It makes a lot of sense to me, and your life is inspiring as well. Quote:
