Guardians and spiritual guides
 

I have never experienced anything with them... yet, but I was wondering if they had specific markings on their bodies like tattoos or auras etc. Also to experience anything with them I'm assuming I have to go into the astral plane.. ?

I agree with Erin. I used to ask to see my guides or angels all the time, hoping they would be projected in front of me in some way, but it never happened (although i do hope at some time it could happen!!) anyway It didn't, and sometimes I would find myself down and out and almost as soon as I asked for an angel_ one of my cats would always come over to me. I brushed it off at first and told myself it was wishful thinking. but as time went and an incident of seeing 25 hawks in one day - I found an answer I had not been aware of for years. My guides talk to me through the symbolism of animals i believe. Various animals seem to show up around me (ones that shouldn't be in this area. They all seem to have meaning to the events in my life.

And if I don't seem to notice my little angel the cat will bring them to me. She has brought me more than mice I might add - robins, sparrows, flying squirls, bunnies, gophers ( and not all them are dead when she brings them to me.

Start noticing things around you, you'll be amazed how our guides try to comminicate with us.
Although Personally I think it might be easier if the just knocked on my door and delivered the message in clear plain english, !! But that takes the fun out doesn't it.

I agree with you Cori that if your guardian angel communicated with you like other people you've come to know, then you wouldn't feel compelled to stretch yourself. A major difference is perhaps that angels would like us to build confidence in those things we initially think we don't know how to do. Of course, we all know much more than we believe. Its our role throughout life to remind ourselves how to remember.:rolleyes:

Yesterday, I had a suicidal episode. I was very depressed, and I'd said horrible things to my father.

I was walking outside, with no idea what I was doing, or where I was going.

Suddenly, I looked up at the tree in front of me, and there was a crow (my totem) in plain view.

I stopped. I asked, "what?"

He said, "Be Patient. Everything will be fine, right?"

I asked, "what should I do about my fear?"

He said nothing, then began to fly. He circled around me, and landed in a different part of the tree with another crow.

The message was clear: I would be protected by my spiritual friends, and they would lead me to the love I was searching for.

I walked back home, apologized to my father, and was finally able to explain what was going on in my head (minus the guide conversation).

Always be open to them, and they'll come when you need them. You're not the only thing aware of your needs. :)

I found this really cool meditation website and on it, you could download walkthrough meditations. One of them was one where it helped walkthrough talking to your spirit guide.
