Life and teachings of the Masters of the Far East – Baird T Spalding I am now reading this book for the second time. And really, it is amazing. It's like reading 'between the lines". It's knowledge is coming to me from a whole different perspective then the first. The first time I felt the WAW. Now I have the feeling that I "really get it". I highly recommend this book to everybody on a spiritual journey. It provides the truth and nothing but the truth. Greetings. |

No one person supposedly outside of myself can provide me with the truth. Truth itself is subject to discussion. For example, Truth is comparative to what is real. What is real, is also true, yes? Well then one can ask, what is real? Is it just what you percieve, if so, then Real / Truth is merely electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Someone once said that you should respect a man who searches for truth, but be wary of a man who claims to have found it... And then you have to think about the nature of reality itself, if SR holds true then the concept of truth is assinine because nothing is certain... do you understand?

What comes before discussion? Before all human concepts, before humanity? The whatever that is subject to no discussion? Don't bother answering...if you do, I'll just be wary, if you don't, I'll know you don't know.

| The fish trap exists because of the fish. Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap. The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit. Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him? ~Chuang Tzu Consider those words. Then consider that those words have no reason for existance. Then consider their foolishness. Their greatness. Their profound wisdom. Then consider whether they mean something to you, whether they mean more than simple words, or simple concepts. What you feel will either be Truth, or a lack of it. |
