God's use in this world's history has always been to keep order through believe in something bigger and though that role has diminished, in some corrupt places, it still helps out a little. And I guarantee that one day, it will become important again. Plus, it helps many people cope with the loss of a loved one. Sometimes athiests bug me because they say there's no use for God but in my eyes there most certainly is. I don't mind when people (not calling anyone out) are athiests but they're simply incorrect to say that God has no purpose in modern society.

| Do you include Discordians in this idea, or are they exempt? How about cults that worship Set, Loki, Bacchus, or Satan? Hail, Eris? 23!

>>>"Jesus" did this that or the other in a way his "Disciples" could not understand, but they saw the benefits.<<< yes, from ordinary to "extra-ordinary" I am pretty much with you on your view of Christ.... with exception of God, this is how I see it In the old testement, God was external, out there... someone whom you had to try and figure out through the intellect, someone who was above you, someone who had power to you and over you....it is kind of like their "deffention" was not exsistant, or whatever the trend happened to be .... they believed in a "source" but they did not know exactly what the source was or consisted of, and like someone else pointed out, Babies needing a guiding hand..... someone to teach them how to live, and how not to live..... "you can do this but not that"!! in other words, someone to teach them their "do's and dont's"... the rituals performed int he old testement were bizzare, (burning babies). etc..new law after law after law they relied on mediums, seer's .divinations because all source / all knowledge was outside them selves..... hence the prophets revealing to them... for every action / there is a reaction, for every law broken there was consequences you touch the stove/ I comanded you not to touch, you burn your hand, the ripple effect is this.......... if you eat of the tree, there is going to be a consequence so dont eat it........... then Jesus comes , speaking a way of "God" ( notice he did not deny Gods exsistance" but he used it......) This to me is PURE brilliance!!!! For 1 thing, I think he was to smart to get caught up in the diversions.(Does he exist or does he not exsist ) endless , missing the point .., but at the same time he had to reveal the source because his truth says in knowing that "this source is "internal", and he had to be true to the source!! this confused/confounded some people, because while they said "hey what you talken about we have believed in God as our forefathers did (so to speak) Christ knew the souce was internal.. Now I interject your paragraph: Quote:
all truth is in the source... God moved from external to internal (Christ teaches this) this is our defeniton.. our esteem , our worth our purpose , is in the source.. The Joy is in the realisation...( the source) Christ had it he knew it.... he taught it, he revealed it, he lived in it.. He worked with their fear.. they know longer needed to fear..... in the way they did then, but if you do fear.. fear that which can destroy your soul.... why? this whole thing is PURE "GENIUS/ Madness".... i Love it! | ||

LOL! I like your insight, Old Soul. That's a great way of looking at it.
