The Final Answer To Life

The answer to life.. is that there's no answer to life... which would be an answer to life.. but there IS NO answer to life.

Do you understand? This is called double think. (Which in reality, is actually "infinite think")

I highly suggest you all read the novel "1984" by George Orwell and read everything that happens preceding the part when O'brien says "you know what room 101 is".

Sorry If I sound insane right now, lol, but I just had this epiphany after searching for the longest time what the meaning to life is, and it hit me unexpectedly as I was reading.

Let me elaborate in case anyone didn't understand : If the meaning to life, is that there is NO meaning to life, then that in itself would be a meaning to life, but there is NO meaning to life - and that thought process happens indefinitely. This seems to be the very nature of the Universe we all inhabit.

"What happens if the Immovable Object meets the Unstoppable Force?"

This is a somewhat similar question, but doesn't nearly reach the depth of "There is no meaning to life".

I hope I made that clear to understand.. You really have to read 1984 and get a full grasp on the concept of "double think" to understand this though.

Anyways, hope that helps anyone searching for the answer... if you want to call it that, lol.

I agree. it is based on the false premise that life is some sort of riddle to be figured out. Man doesn't understand the source of his life and world and projects that confusion outwards, assuming there is some sort of answer to be found there, but life just is. There is no actual inherent question as to the meaning of life that's hanging in the air, we just assume it. But it is all in the mind. You can't answer a question that has never been asked. It is and always will be fruitless search as are most questions of this nature.

"What happens if the Immovable Object meets the Unstoppable Force?"

I'd say what happens is that we find out which of the two has been most incorrectly described as 'unstoppable' or 'immovable'.

Words are tricky things - but the map is not the territory.

imo the 'meaning of life' is to be alive - the irony being that too much discussion / analysis about this has a danger of leading us further away from the thing we are trying to understand.

Funny old world...

wow. I haven't read the book but if what you say is true, if there is no meaning to life, why work, why make friends, why make and mend relationships, why have children, why live?

1984 is an excellent book.

EDIT: Check out other manifestations of nondualism if you get the chance.

exactly.

IF a truly unstoppable force exists, THEN no immovable object can exist
IF a truly immovable object exists, THEN no unstoppable force can exist

BY DEFINITION they cannot both exist in the same universe.

We create our own meaning for life...but this doesn't mean life has no meaning...

Well, my friend - don't confuse the 2 things ;)

I said there's no ANSWER to life (that in itself is a paradox, because it would be considered an answer to life), that doesn't mean that there's no MEANING to life.

So -- there IS meaning to life, but no answer to life. You need to dig deep into your soul and find out what the MEANING of your life is.. Find our YOUR mission.
