Default Do you share your beliefs with others IRL who differ?

Especially the beliefs commonly held in this forum. If you don't why? If you do why and how?

Ok my mistake, I meant outside of this forum (this forum is part of IRL)

Like all beliefs, some I share, others I keep to myself.

It depends on the belief, and the person.

Generally speaking, it doesn't come up in conversation that much, and I don't have any need to proselytise.

Why? Because others share their beliefs with me, so I reciprocate. How, I just tell them my beliefs as they are. Christians tend to scoff a bit, but it' s okay since I secretly scoff at their beliefs too. I mean, I love Jesus etc, but I disagree hugely with the bible and I certainly stay clear of churches. As for atheists, such as my father, well he thinks that my beliefs are " naive" but he also says if it works for me, then so be it, he can respect it. That' s good, I respect his atheism as well, since according to my beliefs, he might just not need spirituality in this incarnation.

I agree with ButterflyWoman.

I used to share my beliefs with others a lot but I realized that I was just pushing it. Its a feeling where there is literally no reason to share but your ego gets in the way and pushes it out of your mouth because you "need to show them."

That is when you get the negative reactions because its not coming from a genuine place. When it comes from a genuine place they are more likely to accept you, but like ButterflyWoman said it doesn't come up that much and you wouldn't scream out your regular beliefs out and when you do they are genuine.
