astral projection question

I feel as though i may make pointless or redundant threads, but i have alot of questions and it seems as though there are people on this board with more answers than i have....

I don't know if i want to start astral projecting, i dont know if its beneficial to spiritual growth or just something people do for the experience, but i have tried and not been successful, but i was trying recently to no avail, and later that night i fell asleep, and in my "dream" i was on my bed, only sitting up, i think, and my perspective was lifting from my body, it felt as though my body was lifting off the bed but i could see it still there as my perspective was rising....

Well i kind of got confused and scared and at that moment it stopped and i woke up, but also at the time of me lifting there was a loud like electric shock sound in my head, i felt it and heard it and even when i woke up could feel the remnants of that electric shock...Was i astral projecting? I often float or rise or fly in my dreams and its always a very real sensation, and i also suffer from sleep paralysis from time to time, and this electric shock thing isn't new, i've dealt with it a few times before and alot of times happens during my sleep paralysis...

Should i continue to pursue astral projection, do you think its related to my sleep paralysis? I've heard that when you project and come back to your body that sleep paralysis can happen..

We all a.p. , or go out of body during certain parts of sleep ,and remember only as dreams, so I would not really fear a.p. As to sleep paralysis , it is said it keeps us form acting out dreams during sleep . desert rat

Most likely astral projection with foggy awareness.

Sleep paralysis is a very good portal into astral projection. And it's true that when you come back to your body, you will often experience some sleep paralysis before you reintegrate.

Whether you should keep at it or not is up to you. Do you feel it would be beneficial to pursue it? Do you feel compelled to do it? These questions should answer the question for you.
